It's the usual fare for me this time -- Bear's Best and Canyon Gate.

Nice! Don't know anything about Canyon Gate, but Bear's Best is on my list.....maybe it will be affordable enough come summer.

Have a great time!

Canyon Gate's on Sahara between Durango and Ft. Apache. It's private but we get in because it's owned by ClubCorp, which owns our club at home. We only pay $17 for cart so it's a great alternative to Vegas' high-priced golf.

Do play BB when you can. I've played it nine or 10 times now and I love it. It certainly belongs at the top of the class, with LV Paiute, Reflection Bay and TPC Canyons.

Golf- what can you tell me about Commander's Palace? My husband is the head chef of a Cajun/Creole restaurant and he wants to check it out, but then again doesn't want to be bored by the same kind of food he prepares every day. I was thinking about the Jazz Brunch. Any thoughts?

'Cat -- Never been there so can't say much. Drop me a line next week and I'll fill you in then.

Golf- If you haven't left yet- enjoy the trip and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Thanks, 'Cat. I was in Indian Wells (Palm Springs area) the past two days and now in Vegas. In fact, I'm writing this from my room in THEhotel at MB. Got the plasma on ESPN, looking out at Red Rocks between keystrokes, work's done and now only Commander's, a spa visit and golf, awaits.
