Because Brad Culpepper was so popular and did so well.

This may be the first season I don't watch. Sick of re-treads and celebrities.

I hope they made sure to have a full quota of checkbox contestants, including 5 or 6 single dad firefighter cops from Boston.

I am surprised no one comments on the retreads. :wink2:

Reality tv addict here. Really......retreads? With the thousands and thousands of applicants that apply for these shows, It doesn't seem fair to keep bringing back former contestants.

Sandra.....really? She has already won twice! Personally, surprised that she even won one time.

Ozzie.....okay, I will admit I always was a huge fan of him. However, he had already been on three times. Give someone else a chance!

Caleb.....okay, if it is a retread season, I can see the logic in bringing him back. He was a good player and because he was medically evacuated, wasn't able to see the season through. (However, he did get a chance on BB.)

WIll I watch? Of course I will with an open mind. Survivor is my favorite reality show and haven't missed a season yet.

My plan is to get outside more this spring, but I'll probably record the first few episodes to watch on rainy days--to at least give it a try.

My favorite part is when Jeff retreats near the end of each tribal council to tally his wacker--I mean the votes!

I never like returning players. Especially these. Few of them even did well when they were on before and now they are on again. And Ozzy again? At least no Rupert.

It's definitely a late start. There must be some double elimination episodes or some medical evacs/quitters.

Last season was one of the best. And now retreads. Ugh.

I get that this show has been on so long that they will not pick up new viewers and I guess they think they can hold onto current viewers by bringing back players. But whoever decided these are "game changers" should be fired.

I like Rupert because he only speaks at a rate of about 3 words per minute, and if I'm hammered I have a good chance of following along.

    Rupert ?
    Stole the other groups footwear.
The guy who told his own group he knew how to build a hut.
So, he says we have to dig down into the sand - for a foundation.
    Tide rolls in...............hut rolls out.

Tell you the truth, I can't picture who it was about the foundation deal. But Rupert was way too much a straight shooter to hide footwear. I know Russell Hantz threw the old rich guys $1000 Italian shoes into the ocean. Later retrieved them.

Rupert stole shoes from the other tribe his first season, Pearl Islands. I liked the guy that season but not since. Fourth time he was on was Blood vs. Water. Fortunately his wife was the first one voted out and he was second. :)

I did a quick look at the cast and can't remember a lot of them. Are there any true villains involved?

I only vaguely remembered it. I had to look up the details. Jeff threw everyone's shoes overboard as they gathered supplies. Rupert stole the other tribes shoes and then used them to barter for more supplies for his tribe. I always thought you couldn't outright steal someone else's stuff but I guess you can.
