Pardon my ignorance, Weegranty, but I assume the 'FC' on your avatar is for "Football Club."

    What team is that?

If I knew the last time I was at a restaurant in March, I would have ordered 2 desserts.

It definitely hit hard when last week came and went, and I was not in Vegas as planned :( but since that’s an event that involves a fair amount of planning and stress (at least beforehand), I didn’t pine for it as much as I do for the ability to hit up my local, go out for a quick bite to eat, or go shopping in the way I used to... things that made up essentially *all* of my “me time” during a typical week, and the lack of which is more than a bit :goofy::cry::goofy:-inducing o.0

Redone. We're OK staying in, but I didn't want it to sound like we're OK with the scary situation. Like everyone else, we want things to be happy, healthy and normal again!

On what we miss, we do miss eating out, like many others. And no live sports is a biggie for hubs too.

I miss walking into a grocery store and reading labels. I check for carbs and sodium- now you feel like if you touch it you bought it. I also find grocery stores soothing- at least I used too. I’m afraid to squeeze an avocado because someone might see and report me. “Security stat to the fruit and vegetable section Code 7 a woman dressed in blue scrubs was seen fondling the avocados.” — Yes guilty as charged.

Ohhh and a pedicure— I’ve got one scheduled for Tuesday!!!!!!! I’m so excited.

I miss looking forward to the weekends. Saturdays and Sundays really don't mean anything anymore because there isn't shit going on; bars closed, restaurants closed, cant even get a haircut...lol

I miss baseball. There is something about Sun Sports and a Rays game while I cook, drink, do laundry whatever.

I miss the news being about other stuff besides the flu. There isn't anything on any news channel that isn't corona related. Hell, I hate commercials, I miss the commercials that were just plain good ol 'Merican mass consumerism - now everyone has sappy piano music and inevitably starts with the phrase, "In these uncertain times..."

I miss going grocery shopping and it not being some sort of a competition, or having to get there before they open in the hopes of getting something.

I miss never hearing the term "Stay Safe..." I have begun to HATE that phrase, Seriously.

I miss not being bombarded each day with new definitions of "heroes."

I miss not seeing people all over the place wearing masks.

I miss a lot of stuff...just like all 4 pages of folks before me...

I miss the shared collegiality of even just a few weeks ago when We the People knew this was a big deal and no one thought it a personal affront when asked to do something simple like wearing a mask in a public space.

Yes, I am also surprised how I miss my local time. That was my version of going off the grid. It will come back eventually.

A low strip trip? Could be….
Using up comps walkabout! Fingers crossed!
