I was trying to find accommodations to complement a three night El Cortez comp and wanted to stay at California, unfortunately their website and the hotel booking website both came in at an average of one hundred bucks a night for a Sunday and Monday. While I was entertaining alternatives I brought up Gold Coast on the Bconnected site and found those same nights as a comp. I received no mailer and I haven’t been in that casino in over a year. Still no love at my old home base Orleans.

This goes to the 'glitch?' that @Nevyn discovered some time ago.
I'm booked for two nights each at Cal & MSS a week from Tuesday using that very same 'feature?'...
No mailer...no room comps listed on my bconnected page... but there they were through the regular calendar booking feature!

It does seem to be rather random as to what properties & what dates, but one thing is consistent - if you find it, it will always be two nights & two nights only... not 3...not 1... TWO.

...but in the meantime... SHHHHHHHH! :ssst:
    ;)

Yeah I just saw the same thing online for Main Street. Two nights on a weekend, worked out good because I had no other comps available anywhere else for those dates.

Is there a calendar view to see a month at a time? Or do you have to keep trying different specific dates?

I initially put in the dates I needed a room & they showed up as "comped".
There isn't a calendar view, as far as I know.
If you put in a date range of more than 2 nights, there will be charges associated with the room... (I can't remember if 2 of the nights remain "comped" or not).

So - if you're just looking to book a trip on dates when you have two nights comped, you'll have to play around with it until you see the nights as comped.
Same thing with the various properties... you may have comp nights available at, say, Gold Coast, but not at the Orleans...or at MSS but not the Cal.

My advice? Choose the dates you want to go & then check each Boyd property for those dates.
If no comped nights show up, start over with different dates.

Boyd is a real head scratcher. I've stayed at the Orleans many times on comps, but they dried up when I wanted to go in May. I kept checking and checking and even called. Nada. Then out of the blue, I recently checked online and discovered a comp at the Gold Coast, a property where I've never set foot in. A couple of days later, I checked and—lo-and-behold, I had a comp at the Orleans that I immediately booked.

I don't remember exactly when this started, but I have been able to book 2 nights each month pretty much anytime at most Boyd Vegas properties for about a year and a half. I think they did this when they did away with the program where they gave you free nights when you were awarded your annual card level. I used to get 3 free nights (Congratulations - You're an Emerald!). My regular monthly offers (at the time) were better than the "award" so I never used it. Bear in mind that this "perk" does not come with food or free play. My home casino is Fremont. At Christmas, I stayed 2 nights comped at MSS. I played $ VP pretty heavy and they gave me vouchers for the buffet for each of my 2 day stay. YMMV.

I had two comped nights at any of their properties without having spent a penny gambling about a year ago. Seemed to be a glitch but it was honored.

Thanks for the clarification! I was worried that I was missing a simpler solution.

For a short time a couple of months ago I was seeing 2 free nights Sun-Thurs at any Las Vegas Boyd property. Nothing now.

After reading this quote I went on-line to Gold Coast and Sam's Town and both had 2 days comped for me on their web-site. I have not been to either casino in the last couple years. Possibly the offer is to get us back since we did play at both places quite a bit years ago.

Really happy to share. I’ve been trying to crack these low end comps for years. Without a larger sample size there’s no way. I was about to commit to two hundred twenty dollars at California when my random try at Gold Coast came back COMP.

I also stumbled upon 2 nite Gold Coast comp. So booked right away. It used to be my go to bargain hotel until they introduced resort fees. I see for non comped rooms the resort fee has gone up to $28 now crazy....

Did the same thing. Had an offer at MSS and Cal but needed one extra night after an mlife stay so not wanting to try to book an offer twice I just did a search at sams and GC and was shown CoMP at both for the extra night I needed. Anyone that did this do you know if they will charge resort fee? Since it’s not an official “offer” with no food or FP will the resort fee still apply? When I booked it it’s showing that on the invoice but many hotels show that and don’t charge depending on the offer.

Orleans comps appeared out of nowhere today. My brother has no offers on his bconnected page but got a comp room in the last week of May.

Thanks for the information! I just booked a two day comp at the California in a premium room!
