Agreed. I learned (from this board) to read and take in all the info/details provided here but try things for yourself and formulate your own opinion based on your personal experience.

We visited on Sept. 26. 2 days after they opened. We definitely liked their drinks and would go back for drinks. I consider it to be more of a drink/appetizer place. It has 2 rooms, one with a DJ and another as dining. Quite unique.
I would go back or it would be fun with a group. Rose.Rabbit.Lie, also a supper club, was never open for lunch, so it doesn't surprise me that this wouldn't.

There are plenty of other good lunch options at Cosmo and beyond.

    Interesting place.

Food was fantastic, if on the smaller portion sized. Absolute best calamari we've ever had. The pizza was excellent. The fried cheese bits gave it a somewhat grilled cheese sandwich quality that I really enjoyed. My wife and out friend enjoyed their entrees as well, chicken parm and carbonara; though the two entrees together may be what some are expecting for a full dinner.

My porn star martini was very tasty. I wanted to try a few other drinks on their menu but wasn't feeling like drinking at the time.

The art and decor were awesome. I found a few articles before hand about the art and some of the artists that contributed. The casual observer might confuse it with the normal kitsch thrown up on restaurant walls, but there are some really great pieces if you walk around to check them out.

We couldn't see much of the performance stuff from the dining room area, most of the action seemed to be in the bar. I wish we had seen the opium show to know a bit more about the characters that we did see.

The entry into the place is interesting. they try to get into the mood for something different but I'm not quite sure they've figured out what they're trying to do.

The staff had some real interesting uniforms/dress code. The water/food runners seemed to be bicycle repair guys and the servers all had bad art exhibit reproductions as shirts or had raided the closet of their crazy uncle stuck in the '70s.

The music is slightly to loud to hear/understand people with masks on. A lot of repeating things to be understood.

Overall it was good bordering on great. We were all expecting a bit more, but couldn't quite define what that more would be. My friend and I agreed it would be awesome if we had taken some "Vegas After Dark" before hand, though it might ruin your appetite; so maybe not the best to mix with a restaurant.

I would go again for pizza and drinks, maybe to see the Opium show as well.

I should also add that the place was half empty. Not sure if it's cancelled reservations or limited reservations to allow walk ins. If you're interested and don't have a reservation, I would suggest you still give it a shot.

    Yep - agreed.

Perfectly stated and exactly how my wife and I felt about the experience.

We went last week, agree with all of the above

We thought the food was just ok, the calamari and pizza must be a lot better than the entrees! We had the meatballs (definitely meh, like frozen food meh), chicken parm and carbonara (we thought they were average) and banana walnut tartufo, a dessert that was trying too hard to be something.

In fact, I'd say overall Superfrico is trying too hard to be something, but they don't quite know what they want to be. I'd give them some time to figure out what they're trying to do/be before I'd go back, and I'd only go back for the unique atmosphere, there are many much better dinner options very close by in the same price range

I read somewhere that inside Superfrico is a speakeasy called the Ski Lodge. Has anyone heard of this?
I remember going to The Study inside Rose, Rabbit, Lie. Did I miss seeing another room?

I also read somewhere about multiple themed rooms. The entry was maybe 2 "rooms". The host desk was in a room with a stage, fog and not much else. There was a bar room and a dining room. There was also a room to buy bottled drinks and merchandise maybe on the way out.

I have reservations on Friday night, so I can report on my experience. We will probably do a family style share, order a lot and pass things around versus a single dinner/person style dinner.

We have a group of 14 doing Ghost Donkey for pre dinner drinks and apps, Superfrico for dinner and then to The Barbershop for after cocktails/music, so I imagine we will just order tons of plates through the night and just graze.

Will give my account next week if that helps........

I'm also not really digging the decor. There's just something about the neon parts that gives me a headache, whereas the main room with the performers seems bland (plain walls with lights projected doesn't really do it for me).

I also cancelled my reservation- not feeling it as a solo diner and will wait until I go with others

There's 9 different rooms total, I was told, much like Rose.Rabbit.Lie where there were several different rooms to see.

    You can't please everyone!

I liked it. I liked it as a solo. I liked the food. I liked the decor. I liked the entertainment.

If I was advising someone who was making their first or second Cosmopolitan dining visit, I wouldn't recommend it. For someone whose been to many of the other venues, I'd recommend trying it.

We're all wired differently. VMB dining threads are filled with recommendations favorites, etc. Some of us want to return to reliable favorites we've experienced before:; others want to experience every place once. I'm in the try someplace new whenever possible category...

So, from that perspective, I'm glad I went. I liked it. I'm in no hurry to return.
