Remember this part of the TR from Friday night? My buddy, Mike Freedy, lived in Milwaukee until a few years ago. I met him through bowling leagues before learning he was a floor super at Potawatomi. He was looking to relocate and found a job at the Silverton in Las Vegas.

About two years ago, he lost his job when a dealer in his pit didn't card an underage patron. He was frustrated about the situation and was considering moving back to the Midwest until he got his job at the M Resort.

A few weeks ago he sent me a Facebook message; the Milwaukee Bucks were about to play Game 7 of the second round of the NBA playoffs against the Brooklyn Nets, and the Bucks were getting a good price to win the championship and he wanted my opinion if the Bucks were "for real". I don't follow basketball too much, but being the homer that I was, I told him "Of course, its like stealing money". He sent me a LOL, told me he made the bet, and said that he'd catch me later.

I wish I had asked him if he was vaccinated against COVID.

Mike Freedy died this morning at 39 years old from complications of COVID pneumonia. He leaves behind a wife and FIVE children.

People, get your fucking shot.

Such a sad story. 39 years old. It's heartbreaking really. So sorry about that.
