    My Trip Report

Is it just me or do we not appear to have enough SB trip reports going around here???

It is Vegas Eve at the Gaggles residence. We haven't packed a lick of anything yet but I have checked in for our flights.

Rooms rates have been ALL OVER the place the last few months. Some days I had small suites comped, the next minute I couldn't get a base room at Harrah's. We had our flights booked a long time ago, but I did take the flight insurance for only the third time in my life. Happily we will not need it. But back to the room thing. I am not sure what everyone else is paying but we booked two flights, with bags and insurance, on Allegiant, for about $400 US.

Initially I could get some rooms comped at Flamingo, PHO, Harrahs. Bally's etc. but I held out. Then I couldn't get anything. Then NOBU popped up for a non refundable $20 a night for three nights so we jumped on it.

Then just last week, all kinds of stuff opened up and I settled on a nice little Augustus Premium Studio suite and we locked it down.

I have a friend down there right now and he has been on a craps heater almost every time he plays. Friday is a free for all and we have nothing formally planned yet. Saturday we may be meeting up with some Canadian associates who have been in Vegas for the last couple weeks. Saturday night there is a little Offspring concert going on downtown and ya know the Gaggles Clan is not gonna miss that.

And Sunday, we have tickets to the SB party at Senor Frogs. Great deal at that place. Free food and drink for 5 hours and we scored those tix for only about $129. That is a pretty square deal compared to some of the prices and scams out there that are trying to cash in on this little game.

Amidst the plans, we are gonna pepper the report with Royals and Aces w/kickers.

I think I'd better get some bags packed because we are gonna be hitting up the Sip N Dip in Great Falls before we hop on the plane tomorrow afternoon.

Now let me see if I can dig up a couple of fun pics from last Saturday's stop at my local casino to show you how the "warm up gamble" went.

On an $80 buy in, we finally cashed our $500 after a multitude of quads on a carny game called DWDDBP. Takes an extra coin per spin.

I’m sure I’ve asked @tringlomane if this is a decent game in the past, but I e been crushing it at my local lately. Here are a few fun highlights.

In an unrelated matter, I also told @tringlomane about this and was gonna ask what the odds of this hit were??? Got it on my last cruise just before Christmas. Why couldn’t I get a draw like this when I’m on triple play dollars and looking for royals??

Twenty three of the last twenty five years I have made it out there for the game (and one missed being the COVID Bowl in Tampa, so it wasn't really by choice).

I couldn't find any interest trying to make it work out there with everything being in town this time around. I had/have zero interest....but you're William Munny and I'm that little weasel blonde schofield kid who runs around with him throughout the movie...and it's a compliment from me to you when I quote that little weasel blonde schofield kid...

    "I ain't like you, Will."

My associate is texting live from Mandalay Bay. He was Bubble Crapping at Excal and asked for a Jack/Coke and a can of Red Bull. They have been giving it to him in every casino in Vegas (by that I mean all MGM casinos and Circa as that is where he has been playing) and only Excal denied it. He said fuck em and is now drunk as a skunk at MB. He has been primarily craps for four days. Won, so far, 3 out of 4 days and up over $1000. Being up over $1000 with all that gambling and free rooms is a sizeable win for a guy who hadn't been to Vegas since my wedding four years ago. In case anyone needed a recap of my wedding.....

I may be wrong, but I think that the probability of hitting that fourth card three times in a row is 0.000077 which means you had an 8 in 103823 chance of pulling it off. Well done, you magnificent hoser!

    Wow nice hits!!!

That paytable is 97.4% which isn't bad for local stuff, but that assumes optimal strategy, which I'm not sure what that is always. My free tools don't analyze hands for that game. For the most part it's Deuces Wild strategy though. But pair beats 4 flush, and premium pair beats two pair, etc.

I really like this game and wished more casinos offered it. Getting natural quads on Deuces totally pisses me off and this game fixes that.

Yeah, this is correct, it's also 1 in 12,978 if you round. @Gaggles, I'm glad you weren't like my VP neighbor years ago when I peeked over at his machine while I watched him pull the exact same draw with Jacks. I muttered "Wow." But he was so in "the zone" that he didn't even notice he hit 3 of 3 quads and kept playing without missing a beat.

    Nice draw!!!

Hope these great hands continue in Vegas!
