Gaggles
VIP Whale
Is it just me or do we not appear to have enough SB trip reports going around here???
It is Vegas Eve at the Gaggles residence. We haven't packed a lick of anything yet but I have checked in for our flights.
Rooms rates have been ALL OVER the place the last few months. Some days I had small suites comped, the next minute I couldn't get a base room at Harrah's. We had our flights booked a long time ago, but I did take the flight insurance for only the third time in my life. Happily we will not need it. But back to the room thing. I am not sure what everyone else is paying but we booked two flights, with bags and insurance, on Allegiant, for about $400 US.
Initially I could get some rooms comped at Flamingo, PHO, Harrahs. Bally's etc. but I held out. Then I couldn't get anything. Then Nobu popped up for a non refundable $20 a night for three nights so we jumped on it.
Then just last week, all kinds of stuff opened up and I settled on a nice little Augustus Premium Studio suite and we locked it down.
I have a friend down there right now and he has been on a craps heater almost every time he plays. Friday is a free for all and we have nothing formally planned yet. Saturday we may be meeting up with some Canadian associates who have been in Vegas for the last couple weeks. Saturday night there is a little Offspring concert going on downtown and ya know the Gaggles Clan is not gonna miss that.
And Sunday, we have tickets to the SB party at Senor Frogs. Great deal at that place. Free food and drink for 5 hours and we scored those tix for only about $129. That is a pretty square deal compared to some of the prices and scams out there that are trying to cash in on this little game.
Amidst the plans, we are gonna pepper the report with Royals and Aces w/kickers.
I think I'd better get some bags packed because we are gonna be hitting up the Sip N Dip in Great Falls before we hop on the plane tomorrow afternoon.
Now let me see if I can dig up a couple of fun pics from last Saturday's stop at my local casino to show you how the "warm up gamble" went.
