Great Movie! I rented it last night. I would have watched it sooner but I have a
rule not to watch "Air Disaster" Movies (good or bad) before or during flight travel.
Of course we all know the ending of the story but there was still Drama in the Sky!

Clint Eastwood at almost 87 years old is still a Great Director and Storyteller!

We saw the Fuselage of a USAir Passenger Jet being used during the Production
at Universal Studios Hollywood back in 2015. It was in sections for easy Filming.

It's about time she got her own movie. She's been in Mulder's shadow far too long.

Yup, haven't seen the "scully" one yet, I did see Sully, it was only ok IMO, it was one of those movies where you can read the paper and do the dishes during the slow parts, which was most of it.

We rented Sully (omg almost typed scully!!! Lol) we enjoyed it, wasn't the greatest movie we ever saw but it was enjoyable enough for a red box rental.

I watched Flight on a flight. Thought it a strange movie pick but it was a good film to watch on a plane. Nothing too complicated or involved.

A friend of mine sent me a video of the jet being lifted from the river by a crane on a barge. Most of the footage was taken from the crane operator area.
The right engine was off but the fuselage bottom was in pretty good shape so I guess they did a great job in letting down on that water.

Perhaps it can be adapted for television.
They already have a great pilot!

There was a Sully on a CBS one season series called Harper's Island. It was actually a pretty decent whodunit with lots of gore and great scenery of the Pacific North West. It's on Amazon if you're interested. I'd give it a 7 1/2 on a 1-10 scale.

Oops, I misread the post as Sully instead of Scully. Still, I'll leave my post up about Harper's Island.

I was wondering how they would make a 100 minute movie about an incident that lasted about 3 minutes total, and about which everyone knows what happened, and why, and how it ended.

Answer, get Tom Hanks and make up a bunch of psychological shit. :) Really enjoyed the movie.

I agree. Put Tom Hanks or Denzel Washington into anything and I will watch it.

I saw it when it first came out. I was kinda surprised that the incident itself was kinda glossed over in the first few minutes. The film really emphasized the aftermath and how the Powers That Be tried to go after him. For someone who flies semi-regularly in/out of LGA, this kinda hit home.
