I love all of your conservatory photos. Wondering if I should visit VERY late at night or early in the am to avoid the crowds.

Maybe very late, or early. 10ish... Friday night, line was long.

I'm enjoying all the details in your trip report. I'm sorry you were slightly disappointed by the service at Picasso. A place like that is supposed to be the best, and there's no excuse to have lackluster staff or service. At least the meal and the wines (good for you for not accepting the change to a California wine) were good. Congrats on the big slotting hits.

I generally try and do the Conservatory early a.m. and like the dark background. Congrats on your wins, esp on freeplay!

This has been an interesting trip.

I leave noonish. I've spoken with a host, don't yet know how she'll rate my play, if I earned any back end. I'm skeptical.

Gambling... this and the two previous trips seem to be supporting the hypothesis that if we play long enough, results approach expectations. Like many others' trips, I was up, down, etc. I was was very down but made a nice recovery yesterday. I frequently have mixed feelings about squeezing in some play day of departure.

Vegas seems to be back. Crowds on the street, in casinos, seem as large as pre-pandemic. They may be holding back room occupancy rates, and restaurant capacity; Bellagio was mega-crowded last night, and Aria was almost as full. Maybe it won't seem as crowded in the walkways when more people can sit at tables. Smell of Marijuana is pervasive, but not as overwhelming as last Summer. Way fewer scooters, but they're around.

Will need to test the Uber, taxi availability soon, as I canceled my rental car.

    Brunch at Bardot then departure.......

when we checked in at NYNY last night the agent checked the standard room rates and told us she had only seen them this high EVER (7 years on the job) for NYE. It was $359 for their standard room last night! Thank God for comp’d rooms!

Had a difficult time choosing from extensive menu. Several appetizers very appealing, but not sure I want steak tartare or escargot under puff pastry as I head to airport.

(Also just learned no more Bardot happy hour)

    Coffee at Bardot brunch...different cup

Busy. I tried arriving early to be told "we're seating as scheduled." But then texted me about 15 min before my rez, they can seat me.

I'm at a table... bar stools here not comfy to me. Small round seat, no back.

    Special item, not on menu

    Yogurt Parfait

Excellent. I really love the yogurt parfait at The Henry. But its massive compared to this... I prefer the size at Bardot.

    Waitperson just brought another egg

Not only did another egg arrive in 45 seconds, but 2 min later, server stopped by to thank me for pointing it out.

This is my second meal at Bardot. Dinner last Fall, now brunch. For me, remains my favorite of the MGM restaurants I've tried.

Service was the best both times!

Just checked out on TV. I'm lurking in room. 15 minutes before heading downstairs.

And the blackout drapes closed automatically. All the lights were off, so it became pitch dark. A little creepy, a little impressive - I guess that happens upon the system getting checked out notice.

@ReTriggerMe - did you feel that table games were full / tough to get a seat at?

At airport. Getting taxi took maybe 5 extra min..
No ubers... app couldn't connect me to driver. Nice cab driver.

Security pretty empty. Gate doesn't look too full. Expecting an easy board and flight.

I like heading home Sat. Trip partly quiet weeknights, some excitement fri night. Less crowds at airport. And no getting up for work tomorrow.

Good trip. Back in 4 weeks

All I want is a high top barstool with a wide seat & a back. Why is that so hard??

There may be high tops around bar area... but stools have neither wide-seats nor backs.

I dont like the bar and "terrace" chairs either. What I call "ice cream chairs" ... tiny seat bottoms.
