My trips to Vegas are usually once or sometimes twice a year and I stay 5 nights (seeing as it is a 5 hour flight). I am going to a conference in LA and thinking about adding 2 nights in Vegas to the end of my trip since I will be so close!

Anyway, my usual trip consists of a split stay at Cosmo and Aria to take advantage of free rooms. This will be the first time I have to pick one of them since I'll only be there 2 nights. I'm leaning towards Cosmo since I will be solo for the first time and I'd enjoy being in the balcony room more plus I like their casino more. Although my Aria offer would include resort and FP and cosmo does not plus I finally made gold and this would be the only mlife trip I would get in at that status. Ah, decisions, decisions LOL.

I usually get 2 night room offers from Cosmo so hoping to see one for the days I need. Now the thing is I will have a free Sterling night to use up - I assume it is in my best interest to use it over a marketing offer. If I recall correctly I didn't have to pay resort fees on that last time but I do on my marketing offer. Has anyone used a Sterling room recently - did you pay resort fees? Are they going to let me use my Sterling night and just 1 day of the marketing offer?

Am I also correct that it would be in my best interest to concentrate my play for this short trip at the casino I'm staying at? If I played for a couple hours at the other place would that mess up my future comps?

Assuming you stay at Cosmo, if you play even 1 minute at Mlife, you will trigger a trip and the resulting ADT will be in your history. Avoid using your card unless you are going to play strong.

Same thing if you stay at Aria - do not trigger a visit at Cosmo.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a crazy high trip last Sept at Aria ($8,000 coin-in) and I certainly don't want to mess up the history for that by playing for a couple hours. I will stick to where I am staying this time.
