Been going to Vegas since 1973, yes were old.... Have not been since 2008. Through the years stayed at Caesars, old Showboat, MGM, Stardust, Flamingo, Red Fox old place ?Silver City? and others. Then in about 1995 found downtown and have stayed there since, mainly at golden nugget or four queens, some plaza years ago. We use to average a couple trips per year, probably 50 or so total. The former Barbary Coast was a favorite strip stop, now gone.

Any way were coming for a week in August staying at the GN and would like to spend a day on the strip. What would you suggest? We stay downtown for the gambling and closeness of casinos, however like to see some new stuff. Aria look like a possible stop or maybe Winn's (Loved when Steve owned the GN)

    Suggestions for a day trip?

What type of things are you looking for when you go to the strip? Are you looking to shop, eat, gamble, drink, see a show, etc.?

Something to dazzle us. Not shows. Eating, gambling and eye appealing stuff, the WOW factor stuff.

Go see the new Barbary Coast, aka The Cromwell, and tour the Linq area.
