I am not sure about the cigar. They have a gift shop that sells bottle soft drinks in Rush Tower. You can also get fountain drinks at the Grille. There is also an ABC store a couple of doors down from GN. In GN Vic and Anthony's is good. They have some great specials on 3 course dining menu. Chart House has good seafood. Claim Jumper is 24 hour rest it is your basic diner. I heard Red Sushi was good from my kids. Lillie's Chinese is ok but not great and I have never eaten at the Mexican place.

There are a lot of great dining options downtown, many I haven't had a chance to try.

Stroll across the street (Casino Center Blvd) into the 4 Queens... go to the right-right when you walk in... in the SW corner, there's a place called Chicago Brewing Co... go upstairs...they have a cigar-bar... good brews there too!
    Good luck & have fun!

We always used to walk down to the Walgreens at the other end of Fremont to get a twelve pack of soft drinks and took along a collapsible cooler to have in the room. I do not mind paying for adult drinks but paying through the nose for a soft drink is irritating.

I second the Chicago Brewing Co. at the 4 Queens... it's my favorite cigar bar downtown.. It's better to bring your own sticks, if possible because their selection is pretty limited. But they offer a great atmosphere, strong drinks, good food and bartop VP.. There is also a kiosk right outside the Fremont that sells cigars.. pretty good selection but a bit pricey.. Also inside Binion's, across from the BBQ joint is Vato's Cigars... they have a small selection of premium sticks but you really should try their branded sticks.. tasty and reasonably priced.. plus if Paul Vato is in the house, he's a very personable and interesting guy... I bring a few of my favorite sticks from home, and pick up a few from Vato's..

The Rush Lounge makes very good drinks and has live bands until about 2:00 am each night. I'll pop in there, solo as well, once or twice a visit and always have a good time. Have a great trip!!!

Never had a problem smoking cigars in casino or at the two casino bars (claude's in the middle and international bar). Don't know how long you plan on staying but if there on a Friday see what the Friday concert is it's on GN website. Food at GN again website has info + menus. Grotto good reasonably prices, love the pizza and pasta choices etc. Happy hour is good as it is at Chart House.
V&A was mentioned for steak. As mentioned the ABC store for libations, food, etc.
Tony Roma's at Freemont good. Main Street Station buffet good.
Check out a map online of downtown easy to walk to a number of places.
Since you've never been downtown the Freemont experience (light show, concerts etc outside) web has info on Freemont street experience concert lineups, etc.
Binion's coffee shop good place to eat.
We were strip people for many years now it is downtown for last 10.
    Have fun.

Glad to see some fellow cigar smokers on the board. While the cigar selection at the Brew Pub at the 4Q is limited, the brands are top shelf: Montecristo, Macanudo, Romeo and Juliet, Fuente, etc. They recently switched suppliers and the prices are more reasonable than before. Good place to "spend" your 4Q and/or Binions comp dollars.

And the bar food is pretty tasty as well. The three sliders for around 10 bucks is a steal. And the servers are also top shelf. Say hello to Bob, Tiffany and Kim (mostly day shift). Just another reason to love the 4Q!

I love to smoke a cigar while playing video poker. It adds to the overall experience.

Fellow cigar smoker. My cigar smoking in GN's high limit room was not met in a very friendly manner. Not sure about the rest of the casino.

Never had an issue and I know it depends on the fellow players and I'm biased as I like to smoke cigars. I look at it if you're allowed to smoke go for it keeping proper restraint and not blowing smoke toward dealer or players.

Smoking a cigar all day yesterday everywhere on Fremont street no problems at all. I was very courteous though. I talked to a pit boss at the Golden Nugget he smokes them too not while on duty obviously! Even spilled some ash on the Roulette table met with a no problem from the dealer. Loving it here at the Golden Nugget!!!
