Haven’t been able to read much forum activity past couple of days. Hunkering down night #5 in South Minneapolis [emoji1317] standing guard on the porch. I know other cities are having the same activities...

We certainly are here in Vegas. Last night got a bit messy in front of PH, and supposedly the National Guard is downtown for a protest planned there tonight. I can't imagine what it'd be like with the tourist crowds.

I live in a suburb of St. Paul. We are under a curfew as the threat is that they will be moving to the suburbs now. So we are closed, some businesses are boarded up, and many are under a curfew for the next 2 nights. Main highways are being closed as well.

The city where I grew up and the High School I attended is apparently where Derek Chauvin went to school as well, so there have been threats there too.

    Stay safe everyone!

I have watched more tv today than I have in a long time....so depressing. There was a protest in Duluth today and it was done in the way a protest should be done. However, there was lots of media attention on it and folks were afraid the rioters from the cities would work there way up north.

This madness needs to stop now....stay safe.

Stay safe. The closest damage to me so far has been 1.3 miles away. We’ve been hunkered down at home hoping for a quiet night tonight.

Yes. I grew up there and lived there up until about 5 years ago. Now I’m in Woodbury.

2 nts ago our police dept burned down, last night our post office, this morning the gas station down the street. Just watered my roof for the first time in my life. The tension around our neighborhoods is incredible.

Wow, hope you are doing well. I always thought of the twin cities as a peaceful place, maybe a little violent when William Macy had his wife kidnapped by Steve Buscemi. Anyway, wishing all in those cities the best.

Thanks, it’s a surreal feeling, hard to describe. Praying that they leave houses alone again. Everyone has a done a nice job of prepping on our block.

Things got out of hand here in DC yesterday. I was leaving a work site and most roads were shut down near the White House, a few things looked to be on fire. Apparently I made it out and home right before the physical altercations began, thankful for that. A handful of secret service cars were trashed today, it's reminding me of Baltimore all over again. Hopefully this will subside come Monday.

Can we please keep this thread civil and not political? It can stay open that way. Thanks.

@Sonya, I've been watching Seattle TV today. Amazing. As a high school and then college kid, I worked right there at the old Ben Paris and then selling women's shoes at Leeds. Sad.
