    My Trip Report

Ok to start our flight was with Air Canada from Toronto and left at 8:35 pm. We arrived 10:45pm Vegas time. And I am glad we flew Air Canada like January because getting your bags and grabbing a cab in Terminal 2 is such a breeze, now Terminal 1 that is another story. Did that in May with America West. No thanks.
Anyhow got to the Legendary Stardust and checked it no problem. 31st floor and Strip View, what a view. Se all the planes coming in and taking off, unreal day and night!! We headed downstairs to grab a bite to eat at the Paradise Cafe. Great food, the service was good, but seemed that only the younger women who serve you your drinks were the social and nice ones, the waitresses and hostess that seats you? I guess they were a bit disgruntled seen as the following week the place closed down.
Headed to the slots for a while, me I am not much of a gambler, my buddy plays the slots and loves them. Played $40 and was surprised I won $100, was hitting close to 4am and I was tired, as it is more like 7am back home.
Monday got up, went to the Paradise Cafe for breakfast then decided to check out the Keno, love the comfy chairs there. So we played a few games and I said ok I am off to get my show tickets. Had to pick up Crazy Girls for the Riviera, Toni Braxton for Flamingo, Burn The Floor for Luxor and also Fantasy for Luxor.
So took the monorail, stopped to get a Smirinoff Ice first, needed a beverage for the start of the ride around to grab the show tickets. After I did that, it was time to take a ride on the Manhatten Express at NYNY. And I am NOT a rollercoaster fan but hey this is Vegas. Oh man I needed a drink after that LOL
Decided to grab a Daquiri at Coyote Ugly's Daquiri Bar and walked around NYNY. Played the slots a bit there, but nothing, only blew $25 anyhow on them.
Was time to head back to the hotel as I wanted to get ready to go for a bite to eat then off to the Burn The Floor and Fantasy shows at Luxor.
The show was great, had front row seats, very high energy dance show. The dancers come out to the crowd and dance along the front and a few in the ailes. Very impressive show. Worth seeing again when it hits Toronto in May.
Then walked over to see Fantasy at 10:30pm.
Was just after midnight and time to hit Coyote Ugly, so walked over to Excalibur then across to NYNY. Some guy was handing out VIP Passes so I got a couple.
Went in and place was pretty happening. Was the same bartenders as back in May. The one bartender is up there on the mic getting the women up on the main stage to dance and insulting the guys who did not have drinks in their hands. I walked over got 2 Smirinoff Ice and was ready to start the night off. Didn't know you could leave the bar with your drink and seen people do it so asked the bartender abd she said yes I can. So one for the road, my 7th one, yes I was a pisstank, but started my trip off great.
Was close to 3am and I figured time to head back and left and decided to walk up to the Stardust, what a nice walk. Got back to the room and just passed out around 5am.
Tuesday was a fun day. After breakfast my buddy and I played Keno. I figured hey I am a bit hung over, it is about 10am, so let's relax a bit. Played 10 games and well the drinks started again LOL...then I checked my ticket and on a $20 bet for 10 games, I won $500...ok was on my way LOL.
So we took a cab ride to NYNY for lunch, but first stop was The Sign. Cabbie took the pic for us, he was a riot too like so many cabbies. He even stooped the meter, drove up on the curb and we all got out and he snapped two pics for us. Awesome guy.
Anyhow had lunch at NYNY then was time to walk The Strip. So took the tram to Mandalay Bay. Snapped a couple of nice pics of the place and walked to Luxor, stopped in there. Each place I wanted to grab something from them. I got a key chain from MB. Then to Excalibur, onto across the street to Tropicana. Place is old that is for sure. Across to MGM Grand, then I thought hey how could I forget Hooters? So walked back, across the walkway, and down to Hooters. Ok time for a break, enough walking there. Decided hey grab a bite to eat at Hooters why not. Snapped a couple of pics with 4 Hooters Girls, and time to go on my journey.
So I went to M&M's World, place was a zoo, grabbed a few things for the girls I work with. then off to Monte Carlo. The place lookes great and really nice outside, but inside, did nothing for me. Walked out in no time, but grabbed a pen from there. Over to Bellagio. Too upscale for me. I checked out the conservatory, looked nice but I guess you have to be into flowers and all that stuff, I snapped a couple of pics and walked into the Casino. Was pretty busy and I have to say, that place has the best looking Cocktail Waitresses for sure. Wow, sexy is the word I use. Did I say SEXY? Hey that cocktail waitress from there who accused the Nevada politician of sexual harrasment, she is definitely what they look like..HOT...
Decided to play BJ for the first time. I was a beginner and yep you could tell. LOL. Played $50 worth and only ended up losing $30, no biggie. Hey had to try it out. Again I am not a gambler. Ok off I decided to go. This place is just not for me. But of course I had to check it out and maybe get a feel for it...nope not for me. Don't get me wrong hotel is beautiful and all, just too upscale for me. Seen a couple of wedding parties leaving.
My feet were starting to kill but I said hey this is the fun of it. Walked to the front of Bellagio and figured I would wait for the fountains to start. Relax and finish my drink I had with me from Bellagio. Watched the fountains, snapped some pics of it.
Looked at Aladdin and thought too much construction, over to Bally's and Paris. Then I thought nah let's just continue North. Walked into BC and it was just too cramped with the place so busy so I left and went to Flamingo. Decide to hit Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for some drinks and look out onto The Strip. Yes can you say feeling no pain? Was getting onto about 6:30 by this time so I thought let's continue on the journey. Walked past IP and Harrah's and thought hey they have a showgirl there I rememeber, you can get your pic with. Low and behold it was the same one I got one with back in May..hey had to get another. We chatted and she rememebered me from May. Was quite surprised she did, but she did. left and on I walked, feet and legs were definitely getting tired. Got to The Venetian and alot of construction there with Palazzo, and I thought The Venetian never did anything for me, been there already, across to The Wynn. Damn another place too upscale for my liking, walked past and across to the Fashion Show Mall, tunes cranked up and lots of people around. Never went in though, will have to check it out next time, just walked past TI and then past New Frontier, oh what a hole that place looks like. Onto Stardust and dropped everything off I had got. Man I was exhausted. Was about 8pm and I thought ok time to just rest a bit. Then decided to head to TI to watched the Sirens of TI. I was standing in the wrong area for a good view of the Sirens, was where the Pirates ship comes across...damn I wanted to see the Sirens up close... Show was cool though, enjoyed it. Walked back to the Dust and got changed to get ready to hit Coyote Ugly once again. The bartender I was ordering off of remembered me and what I was drinking..I can get used to this. 2 Smirinoff Ice at a time, double fisting it...pisstank again!!
Wednesday we decided to head to Fremont. Took the cab there, we walked around, went to the Nugget, lots of contruction there, but the pool looked like it will look awesome. Played video poker for a bit, had some Smirinoff Ice, I think 3, and after playing VP decide to walk Fremont to Neonoplis. Seen a big crowd of people on the otherside of Las Vegas Blvd and wanted to see what was going on. A movie being shot, hey George Clooney fliming Ocean's 13. Snapped some pics of him as they were using some place that said Sunglass City. Man that side of Fremont looks so dumpy..hey I see the El Cortez...now that has got to be a hole..
The director taps some of us on the shoulder and says come with me please, so about 30 of us are used as extras for a background crowd scene. Thought that was cool.
Ok was figuring I can see movies filmed anytime at home here so off back to the canopy. Wanted to find Hogs & Heifers and went to get a couple of shirts. Place was just opening for that day, a handful of people in it and I walked in and the hot baretender asks can I help you..wow..LOL..damn another babe..anyhow got a couple of shirts and off to find my buddy and then we headed back to the hotel. Got changed to head out in a while to see Toni Braxton at the Flamingo. Grabbed a cab and went. The cabbie was cool, and he ends up handing me a card with his cell phone number telling me to call him if I am going to hit one of the peeler joints. And also says he knows some really nice women who work out of some houses nearby. Ok bud I think, I won't be calling sorry.
Anyhow walk in the Flamingo, find out Toni cancelled, she is sick. WTF? Ok wait in a line up of 50 people, to get a refund, my turn I find out Vegas.com will credit my card. I thought ok let's go to Toby Keith's for a bite to eat as i am starving. Love that place, went in May. Waitress is so sweet, talked her ear off I think for sure, anyhow got a pic with her and headed back to the Stardust. Took the monorail as I had a free one ride with my Toni Braxton ticket. Walked down from the Sahara to the Dust. Man is a bit dark and empty lots between Sahara and Riviera on that side. Not many people either, everyone walks on the side where the condos are. I see why, see some seedy looking people on this side sitting in front of the fencing and walking.
Went into the Dust to go upstairs and relax a bit. Later I was on my way to see some Mud Wrestling at Gilley's at New Frontier but stopped in the Stardust lobby to get a pic with two showgirls. Oh ya, 3 pics. Next time I want to take one home to Toronto with me, can I please?
Anyhow head of to New Frontier, oh man take a whif of that musty smell. Got in the line up for Gilley's see a sign that says "No photography it is prohibited for the safety and security of our patrons" Huh? No pics allowed to be taken of the Mud Wrestling? Come on. So I asked the guy at the door and he says no you are not allowed to take pictures when there is Mud Wrestling or Midnight Bikini Bullriding. I said that is Tue-Sat you gotta be kidding? Nope, i said ok see ya later.
headed to Studio 54 as I had a VIP pass for that, place was happening, but not that packed, was a Wed night, but was great. About 12:30 I headed to where else? Yep CU, left there 3am and walked, if that is what it was, to the Stardust again. Man I walked alot in 3 days.
Thursday our last full day. Decided to play some Keno, nice to relax for a bit before heading out for the day, and have a few beverages as well. Played 10 games again. And was added to the bonus game or something like that.
Was chatting up a storm with the cocktail waitress about the changes in store for Vegas with all the contruction, not paying attention to the game. She brings me a drink and I decide to pay attention to the numbers for the game now. Ok won $150...go up and she says I won $200, wtf, this is getting good lol, seems my trip is now free as I won $800 and I brought $700 with me to spend in cash. Use my CC for purchases and eating.
Ok time to head out to Madame Tussaud's. Grabbed of course a Smirinoff Ice at the Liquor Store across the street. Walked down to The Venetian. Entered MT and I really enjoyed it. Took pics of almost every wax figure. God Jenna Jameson on a bed? My fav one there. Got my pic with Elvis. Ok walked back, gave one of the women I chatted to online a call as we were meeting up for a bite to eat. She met me at Mandalay Bay, went for a bite to eat at House Of Blues and had a few drinks. I asked if she was interested in going to see Crazy Girls and she said why not, and so I grabbed another ticket for her and we went to the Riv for it...starting to get used to that musty smell now. Anyhow Crazy Girls was a good show, small showroom but the women are hot.
Went for drinks to Tangerine at TI, and was fun and then we cabbed it to NYNY to where else? yep CU. And the place was packed as always, and again the bartender remembered me and what i drank, 2 Smirinoff Ice. Oh man I was feeling no pain. So we had a blast, i snapped some pics, and then we cabbed it back to the Stardust.. We played the slots at Stardust for a while after that, was up and down. She won $150 finally and said I was her luck and split it with me, $75 each. Was close to 6am so I Went with her to get her car at the valet and she went home said the entire evening/night was a blast and fun. She was too drunk to drive so she called her friend to cab it over to drive her car back for her. Was surprised she was up LOL. Anyhow her friend showed up with her bf. They were great and so her friend drove her car for her. So we went to the valet and off they went.
hey time to go to bed and head home Friday. Damn it was already Friday morning, flight is at 3:25...and I would be hung over for sure. LOL.

So not much of an interesting trip in some standards. But was fun and enoyable, next trip is January to the Adult Entertainment Expo.

WOW! Thats a lot of walking. Nice job on the wins! I don't seem to lose much, but I sure could use a win or two like that. That terminal 2 is a blessing and a pain in the neck. Yes, it's quicker to get through and less crowded, but for people meeting you, kind of a pain in the rear.. I'll be there in Jan lol.

I'll second that emotion on posting some pics.

I loved Terminal 2, when I used to fly ATA out of Indianapolis it was a godsend. Now the best deals I can get are through Jetblue which takes me to the main terminal, a pain to be sure.

Never way too much walking in my eyes. That is the vegas experience. Besides back in january I think my buddy and I blew around $200 on cab rides, mind you we were staying downtown.
I am going to post some pics on one of those free photo sharing sites. Took lots.
Staying at the Stardust like when we stayed at Excalibur back in May, we are on the Strip so no need for cabs really. It was nice out all the time, not too hot, and the walk was great...even at 3am and corked LOL.
See why I would never stay at any expensive place when in fact I am only sleeping there? I sure cannot justify spending $200+ a night on a room.
I am the type of person when on a trip, no rest for the wicked and sleep is for wimps. LOL

    Jericho,
Finally, another fellow hoofer. Heck with the cabs, shuttles, monorails. I'm going to have to get you to take the hike up Mt. Charlston sometime.
