So we decided a couple days before our trip we wanted to go somewhere for the long Labor Day weekend. The trip would be my wife, 3.5 year old son, and I. We live in Phoenix and were thinking maybe Southern California or Flagstaff. After looking at some options my wife asked, "What about Vegas?". Didn't have to ask me twice.. My Wife and I used to go to Vegas a lot. But once our son arrived that stopped. We did go for a long weekend last November where grandparents watched our son. We have a trip planned just the two of us in November again that will be a more normal trip. We have only done Las Vegas on the strip, and I usually gamble at CET properties. This trip would be different, it would primarily be a family trip where we did family things during the day. I would be able to gamble once my wife and son went to bed. So I would get 3 nights of gambling 9pm-Midnight or so. We also decided to stay off the strip this time. I work for a major hotel brand so were able to get a hotel in Henderson. The nearest casino was Sunset Station. I have never played anywhere but the strip so I didn't know how much I would like gambling there. I actually really liked it and may honestly prefer gambling there than the strip now. This was a last minute trip so my report is pretty short. Here are a couple gambling highlights and then a few pictures below. -On double double bonus hit 4 aces with a 2,3,4. -Hit 4 aces again(No kicker) about 15 minutes later -Hit 4 4's/ace next night -A handful of other quads -Broke even on BJ -Up +$550 gambling on the trip. I think sticking to just VP and BJ, and the 3 hour time limit gambling every night helped with that.
