Spur of the moment trips are the best! Have fun.

P.S. I'll take that trip to Spain for you.

"Spur of the Moment"...2.5 weeks out? how long in advance do you usually plan your trips?

    Where are you staying?

LOL I was thinking the same thing. Almost all our trips the last few years are booked 17 days or less... the shortest was a true spur of the moment: around 8:45PM decided to go to Las Vegas and was on a flight the next morning.

Mine was: wife finished her first round of chemotherapy a little over 2 weeks earlier. The sick feeling part was over (lasted over a week) and she was at the point of starting to lose her hair. It was a Wednesday and her next round started the coming Monday... she was really depressed about it, crying occasionally and it was all she could think about so after dinner I went and booked a trip, came out and said we had to pack because we are leaving in the morning to Las Vegas.

In the end it was worth it because she was happy while we were there and we came back and she was OK with going back for more chemo the following day.

Wish I could do Vegas as spur of the moment but that darn 2.5 hour flight makes it a bit difficult....

But we have done our local runs spur of the moment...casino one hour away, we've decided as late as 10pm before to just get in the car and go!

Have to say we went via the East Coast once (I assume that's close to what you are doing from the flight times) and by God it's a killer. We now hop to London on the red-eye and fly virgin direct to LV from there. Much, much less of a strain in our opinion even if it does cost us a teeny bit more ... and the kicker is we get extra hours in Vegas that way too as we arrive around 3pm as opposed to generally around 7pm :)

    Furry
p.s. Enjoy your spur of the moment trip (totally agree that is spur of the moment), can't wait for ours that we booked a few weeks back now :)
