Took 1.5 days to get my TSA Precheck approved. Not bad for the federal government. I received my KTN an hour before I checked into my flight and I was good to go.

Might get NEXUS next.

Nexus includes TSA Pre and Global Entry. Highly recommend it and it's cheaper than either of those as well.
