Have a great trip. Get your mom and aunt's on the craps tables. I'm going to have to make a trip just for the chicken pot pie nuggets.

Rx Boiler Room in the Mandalay Shops. They have a very decent happy hour menu, both food and drinks.

How were the lil chicken pot pie bites, @spicole ? They look cute and good, but I question the flavor profile. Are they creamy, or does the sauce soak into it?

They are a bit creamy. It’s almost like a Dutch croquette if you ever had them, except it tastes like chicken pot pie. They are killer!

Please describe the texture. Was the english muffin chewy or crunchy? Which wonderful establishment served you this masterpiece?

Sorry for the shitty trip report so far. Quick recap:

Our plane was delayed about 2 hours into Vegas. Boooooo! The upside is that my aunts landed about the same time and we all rode together to MB.

The hotel is sold out. There is a giant Domino's Pizza corporate convention here. They have something like 11,000 people here from all over the globe. It's pretty crazy.

Food: I had a light lunch of sushi at Mizuya yesterday. Very tasty, but spendy for what you get. I don't have a good calibration if it's typical for Vegas sushi. I expect yes. My aunts and mom were intrigued enough by the chicken pot pie nugz that they wanted to try them yesterday. They ALL ordered it. I tried to get them to try some of the other small plates but they are all stuck in the same rut. I had the salad and the "bacon wrapped bacon 'n egg". I should have taken a picture! It was a piece of pork belly wrapped in bacon, topped with a sunny side up quail egg on a tiny piece of toast with puréed avocado and tomato jam. It was tasty.

We saw Ka and then Lyfted down to Fremont street. I stopped into DTG to pick up a $1 chip for my collection and sat in on a roll at craps. I promptly lost $200... Doh!

Gambling went well yesterday otherwise, both BJ and craps. Up about $1k for the trip total.

I'd give the thumbs up with the update, but I wouldn't want you to think I think the -$200 is a good thing. The <$1000 is a very good thing.

    Spicole...pizza (convention)....learning about Cuba.

Good luck the rest of the way.

The 3:2 side of the BJ pit is closed(!) in the mornings here. Boo! I ended up playing three shoes in the high limit salon at $100 min. In for $2k, out...

I swear I have NEVER seen a dealer pull so many face cards over three shoes. It was mind boggling. I was very fortunate to only finish down less than 3 units. I was saved by some good outcomes on my double downs and VERY few blackjacks from the dealer.

I wanted just a small lunch so grabbed a slice from the pizza joint in the Shoppes near Luxor.
