spa price= price + service charge + tax??

    anybody know if the prices at the spas, which get hit with 20% 'service charge', also get charged tax (8 or 12 % or something??).

    the g/f was going to spend a nice morning at the Mirage spa, but if the price is marked up another 30-32%, then forget it.

    no, there's no tax, just the service charge. however, you should know that only part of the service charge goes to the therapist, so you should tip at least 15-20% to the therapist on top of the service charge. spas aren't cheap.

    some of it goes to the locker room attendants and stuff, but mostly the greedy bastards at the top.
