I'm looking for a real Spa that my wife can go to for a great massage and some pampering while we are in Vegas next week. Not interested in the happy ending massage places. Seems like the hotel Spa is over priced but not really sure, its just more than she is use to paying here in Georgia. Looking for something close to the strip as were staying at the Luxor a couple of nights and the Mirage a few nights.

To be clear, you're looking for a recommendation of an off-strip spa not part of a resort?

Yeah, on the strip in general prices are going to be at a premium, but they are some of the best spas in the world. Places like Caesars, Bellagio, Wynn, and Vdara are the best, but might be too high price considering your post.

I believe both Luxor and Mirage have spas as well. I would imagine that Luxor would be one of the cheaper ones that you'll find on the strip.

In terms of offstrip, I really don't know. Might want to check the prices at the Palms or Rio?? I'm not sure that they have spas though.

Yes, that's correct. Looking for a Spa close to the strip that's NOT part of a resort. I say close to the strip because we will not have a car but I guess she could uber or lyft over if it were not in walking distance.

Looking to get her a nice massage really for the legs and feet as we tend to walk a lot while in Vegas. Something to rejuvenate her somewhat, she has a lower back injury she has been dealing with for years. She also loves the hot stone massage as well.

Check Groupon. There's usually ones for spas at CET properties on the Strip. I know there is one for $75 at Harrahs right now.

I book lots of massage appointments off Strip with Groupon. I don't rent a car but I take the bus. Not sure how comfortable you guys are with doing that. There is also this place downtown which has okay rates and is easily accessible by bus: https://www.nekomassage.com/rates/

Vegas spa prices are high. Crazy high in my book.

BUT - if you do book one - I would lean STRONGLY towards the one in YOUR hotel. Most folks love to be able to walk to spa in casual clothes and no cabs or long walks.

Then come back to room to freshen up after to change, etc. Again, without some long walk.

I agree. Even if the price is a bit higher, the whole thing about a spa or massage is to relax. If I'm on vacation, I'd want to do it where I'm staying. I would say get it at the Luxor.

If you're going to pay for a massage at a on-strip casino spa while at Luxor, book it over at Mandalay Bay. Mandalay Bay's spa is much nicer than Luxor's. It's worth the walk, which wouldn't be too bad.

M-Bay would not be too bad of a walk. It is all inside, so not bad.

I only didn't suggest this because it seems he is looking for something cheaper, and I would assume that Mandalay Bay is one of the more expensive ones.

I'm assuming you've looked at the Luxor spa and decided it's too expensive? Like this is too much:
    • PEPPERMINT FOOT & LEG THERAPY
Ideal for reinvigorating tired limbs, especially after long walks and exercise. Therapists massage peppermint oil on feet and legs to increase circulation, and then finish with hot towel compression for a refreshing experience.

      50 MINUTES $120
    https://luxor.mgmresorts.com/en/amenities/nurture-spa.html

Their hot stone massage rates are pretty comparable to those in Seattle - 80 MINUTES $210 | 50 MINUTES $160.00

What price range are you looking for? That would be helpful on what places to recommend.

^ Yeah, honestly those prices are pretty in-line with what I see most places that are at least of decent quality.

Off Strip your wife could go to Massage Envy.
Or go to a Resort and she will be able to use the wet facilities afterwards for free for booking the massage.
It cost on average about $40+ to use facilities at Bellagio, Caesars & Wynn etc. Also she could go back
the same day before closing and use the facilities a 2nd time. Luxor has a decent facility.

I think she will try the Luxor Spa, we might even get a discount or something since we are MLife members and visit a couple of times per year. Thanks for the replies and help with the decision. That Peppermint foot and leg therapy sounds fantastic to her.

Yeah, I know at CET properties you get spa discounts depending on your player status. I think at MLife you get a discount at Pearl level?

Right? If she gets it, please let us know how it was. I'm diabetic with a bit of peripheral neuropathy and my legs and feet are quite unhappy about 3-4 days into every trip from all the walking and bad food/alcohol decisions. :) I'm thinking I could use something like that mid-trip.

Well we were pearl before they made changes to the loyalty program a couple of months ago so I'm not really sure where we are right now.

Thanks for the suggestion Sonya, she truly enjoyed the Peppermint Foot and Leg Therapy. She did receive some kind of discount but I'm not sure what it was, just the raving about how wonderful she felt.

Glad to hear she liked it.
