You'll both be checked in, no need to do each separately.

I like the first row, in spite of not having a tray table or underseat storage. However, on one flight where we stopped but I was continuing on the same plane, we were asked to move so somebody with limited mobility that was getting on could have the seat. Luckily, it was before the new people boarded so I was able to get an aisle seat a couple of rows back (I could have gone back and got on row 11, but that segment wasn't long enough to matter). Just something to think about if your flight is connecting through somewhere else. On another flight, I saw somebody in the front row with a service dog. Just FYI that at least some FAs try to use that row for special purposes.

And no, I did not notice either of those people being magically healed upon arrival at Vegas.:rolleyes2:

First time flying sw. Bought tickets ~2 months ago, with EB. Just checked in about 23.5 hours before (which shouldn't matter), A24 and A25.

If you buy EBCI, SW automatically checks you in 36 hours before the flight.

A24 and A25 are pretty good spots.

Yes, excellent numbers--actually, many of the A1 to A15 may be empty because they do not often sell out those business select positions.
At least that is our experience.

Great! I thought it sounded a bit high, especially since I did EB 2 months in advance, but that makes sense. Cool :)

Another thing I just thought of. I think they always hold back a few A positions.

Story here. A few years ago I had a Southwest connection in Phoenix. My first leg was way late due to a mechanical issue. I had A boarding passes for both legs. Of course I missed the connection due to the flight being late.

I went to the counter by the gate to be re-ticketed and out popped a C boarding pass. :( I semi-jokingly complained about it, not really expecting them to be able to do anything and she didn't even blink an eye, just ripped up the C pass, typed a few things, and handed me an A pass. At least for that flight, not all of the A passes were taken when they handed out the C passes.

They have a great sale going on now. Finally booked this year for 8-26 out of Detroit. Non stop there and back for $270. Now I can look for good room deals.

You are lucky to have gotten booked if you did it last night or today...as the website has crashed due to the traffic overload of people trying to book...been down for some since last night I guess...hopefully they will extend the sale...some pretty irate people posting on their facebook page.

I had booked to fly out of DAL because I found fares for $204 RT, compared to $400 RT out of SAT. I took SW up on their sale and rebooked our flight out of SAT for right about $300 RT. Save us a 9 hour round trip drive to Dallas and back.

While I agree that they are not as cheap as they used to be...Frontier/Spirit/Allegiant might beat their prices but they will nickel & dime you, even charging for a CARRY ON. I find that the prices are rarely more than competitors, and when you factor in 2 free checked bags, more direct flights & the ability to change my flight at any time for a full credit, SWA wins hands down--and I have had vastly fewer delay issues than with other airlines over the years. And factor in my SWA credit card--winner winner.

I compared flying Spirit with their "big seats" option, one carry on and one checked, and found that SWA WITH a 3rd seat came within a few bucks of matching Spirit's price. No brainer for me!
