I just saw this fare for Sept 13-Sept 17. Goddamn!!! I have never seen a fare that low. Not even back in the good old days. I am mighty tempted. But, I think i might have to let it go because of health reasons, but, but, that might be too good to pass up. I might have to risk it. We better grab these low fare while we can. I just saw a articles that said air fares could go up as much as 54% when this is all over.

If it's on SW you can cancel with no penalty, so zero reason not to book if you think you might want to go.

We booked for $104 RT on SW in Oct. from PHL. Doubtful that we'll go but just had to book for that price.

Lots of good fares out there right now.

And with WN (southwest) - so easy to cancel and/or rebook.

I got $98 RT from Atlanta. Hoping to go in June, if not SWA is letting you move flight within 60 days no change in fare as long as airports stay the same

Strange that flights farther away from LV, are cheaper.
Lowest I could get from Denver was $118, in October.
Now, in May and June I had $98 roundtrip.

Airfare has little to do with distance. I have flow from Chicago to Tokyo for less than a domestic flight within the Lower 48 US states.

Because I did book a Southwest MDW to LAS in January for mid May, when all the shut down happen the flights dropped to $83 round trip with early bird check-in included.
So I have rebook for June, hopefully we can go, but I still also have a $100+ credit awaiting in my account besides that roundtrip!
I had to call to rebook the May flight and the CS told me that you can now rebook up to 10 minutes before departure time.
Crazy time for flights right now, so book away with Southwest as you will not lose your money!

The 10 minute thing is nothing new. It has always (or at least for quite some time) been the rule on many airlines, including Southwest, to cancel or change. I think my closest was 12 minutes before departure...changed to a flight an hour later because I knew I wasn’t going to make it on time.

Im also from Chicago and have been traveling to LV for a handful of yrs now and i always travel on the low fares you stated above. This past Feb was my first time paying over $100 one way but i received a credit ultimately as i was able to get it for $49. I even flew once in December for $36 out there, yes that low. I'm a very economical person let alone traveler. SW changes their rates at least 3x a day if not more so i tend to look when i wake up and have coffee, mid day, sometimes on way home from work and then before i got to sleep if im considering going and after booking i still check to see if i can get a reduction/credit on the flights already booked.

Looking at late august/early sept flights today for MDW to LAS, seem to be priced more like they use to be before all the craziness

too bad SWA keeps throwing me an error every time I attempt to rebook my August flight, I don't know if this is because they are trying to force me through customer service to make the change or what

I had to call them. The error never went away.
