    My Trip Report

I have 5 solo nights in Vegas. I am staying at Bellagio, Cosmo and PH. I willmlikely just briefly post each day then will provide more detail when I get home and can use a proper kegboard.

After a very long day of travelling yesterday (from Australia) I finally made it back to Vegas. I have had to cancel and re-book this trip a few times so super excited to finally be back. It hsss been agout 17 months since my last visit.

    Day 1

Got a Lyft from the airport to Bellagio. I dont think the driver spoke to me at all, but that is ok. There was a line to check in but it went quickly. I had a free jight here thanks to Myvegas ., Bellagio used to be my favorite hotel but it has been at least 8 years since my last stay here. Check in scored me a smoking room which was available right away. Room looks down to the pools and I am thrilled with it. Showered and headed out to Essence Dispensary! Took an uber there (driver really nice). BTW, I do not frink at all (don't like it) and am super excited to be able to buy some clean legal weed here (something I cannot do back home). Needed to rely on budtender's advice and wojjndnup bying a disposable vape pen and 2 pre rolled joints. Had never been to the strat so eecided to check itmout. Tried using vape pen but it came with no instructions and i had to walk back to the shop to figure out how to use it. Some guys out front gave me instructions and i headed back to strat. Had a few puffs on the way but think it might be a dud cause very little vapor comes out and doesn't seem to affect me. From strat I went to miracle mile shops for a bit (auntie anne pretzels r always one of the first things I do in Vegas), PH, then back to Bellagio. Down to Marshalls and Ross, into MGM, back to Bellagio etc. Had dinner at cabo wabkk...I usually love their nachos and love the people watching there, butthis time the nachos were terrible. About 11pm I got the courage up to have a few puffs off 1 of the joints and, it worked! Woo hoo! Back to the room where I thought I saw my cat, then the elevator back downstairs was fun cause I was stoned and it felt like i was in the twilight zone for a minute..lol. Blew the budget, went back to room to get more money out at about 1am, but thankfully decided it was time for bed when I got there. Slept really well for almost 8 hours!

    DAY 2

Woke about 830am feeling massively jet lagged. Down to brekky buffet (thx to myvegas). It was ok, nothing special. Now it is time for a shower then over to Cosmo for a night. Got the cosmo for about $220 for the night for terrace view room(incl. Taxes and resort fees) and it includes a $100 food and beverage credit. Today is the only day where I have a commitment....I have a ticket for Mariah Carey tonight. I am hoping to get an appointment for a hair cut at salon at cosmo today and also hope to play some poker. I didn't play yesterday as I was too brain dead from the flight. I am afraid of heights and have sleep walked in the past so not sure how I will go with terrace room but looking forward to the challenge! More later.

That's quite a flight. Between that and the joint I'm surprised you are as coherent as you are. Don't forget to take and post some pics of your experiences. I hope you have a great time. I'll be interested to get your take on Miriah. I don't remember seeing many reviews on her show lately. Enjoy!

Checked into Cosmo and was in for a shock...expedia messed up and though it said I was to,get $100FB credit, cosmo said it was $100 at wicked spoon, which made me unhappy, kind of, for a bit. Had to rush to hair appointment so left it to later to work out. Rushed to room to drop bags. Room is awesome....1 bedroom suite i think with deep tub at the window. Did $20 trick at check in and not very successful given it is only a one night stay (will give more detail on this and other things after trip over). Had a few quick puffs on the pre-roll before rushing to salon (and yelling at expedia at same time). It hit me super hard....lol. I stupidly decide I will put the rest of the joint back in the tube and put it in my purse and off I go. When I arrived, I got the look up and down by the young pretentiousish man who checked me in. All I could smell was weed...lol...it was coming from me and I couldn't figure out why...I only had a bit, and it was outside. Then I realised it was coming from the tube in my purse. Stylist goes away to get her tools and somehow I find myself in the chair, and the 2 back wheels have come off the ground, and I am quickly on my way to face planting into the cement floor with the chair crashing on top,of me...this would have caused quite a scene of course and I somehow pull the chair back to the ground....close call....whew! I giggled to myself. Got badly needed haircut at Violet Hour Salon in cosmo and am thrilled with the result.
Played slots and had some good luck but mostly bad...bit better than yesterday so far. Got wee bit hungry, so hit wicked spoon (determined to use as much of my credit there as possible before check out tomorrow). I am vegetarian and was thrilled with it....very yummy. Am desperate for mani/pedi and was going to go to miracle mile shops to get them done but not enough hours in a day and it is now time to start getting ready for Mariah, and I am so enjoying this hotel I dont want to leave it. I have 3 nights at PH after this so decided will leave it til tomorrow when I am already there.

Mariah was amazing! Random Vegas thing....Floyd Mayweather walked past me as they hurried him out the side exit after the show! After the show I went to Circus Circus for old time's sake....had last been there as a child in the early 70s...dont think much has been done to the place since then. Also checked out slots of fun. Both were dumps. I then played various slots at PH and Cosmo....lost track of time and found myself in gift shop buying bath bomb at 330am cause I had to try out the tub in the room.

    Day 3
Back to wicked spoon for brekky...it was good but not as exciting as the day before. I then had to check out....though my stay at cosmo had been great up to that point, dealt with some very rude staff at checkout. Played a lightning link machine after checking out and stupidly kept playing it thinking it would eventually pay, but of course it didn't. Then had to lug my bags over to PH....it was a hassle and I wish I had taken an uber. Used $20 trick checking in and kind of wish I hadn't....he told me he could get me a really nice non-smoking room but there were limited options for smoking rooms. He gave me choice of small suite on 6th floor or view room on level 51....i took the view room....it had great fountain view but was unrenovated and gave me the creeps so I went back to the desk and changed to 6th floor room. It is larger than standard room but I hate it....looks out to machinery and feels like there is no privacy but I dont think I could be bothered changing again.
Thankfully, my luck changed after check in. Won a couple hundred on slots (at PH) then played 4pm poker tourny at PH and came second for $505 (yay me!). After the tourny I got dressed up for the night and went downtown, where I managed to lose pretty much every where I went. I hadnt been downtown for years and even then dont think I left the golden nugget. I went in and out of pretty much all the hotels in the area and really liked some of them. Got a slice of pizza from Pizza Rock and it was huge and delicious. Had uber driver from hell on way to downtown (he scared me)but very nice driver on way back. The poor man had been driving a lady a couple years ago when someone shot at them and killed her...very sad. Was back to room around 1am and had a good sleep!

    Day 4
Early start (7am), went to get coffee but there was a huge line at starbucks and I am not a fan of lines so I went to play a machine hoping a drinks waitress would get me a coffee and she did. Put $20 in buffalo machine and took out $100, and then did the same again on a different machine...nice start to the day. Only commitment I have today is makeup to be done at 6. Might see a show tonight and will likely play another poker tourny today. Eating brekky at Paris buffet right now....it is pretty average and the coffee tastes yuck. Have taken some pics but cannot get them to upload for some reason.

OMG....I wasn't wrong when I said it felt like the room had no privacy. After getting ready in the bathroom this morning I turned around and saw 2 workmen at the window....the only blinds are sheer. I am furious....PH hasn't even apologised....only offered to change my room (no upgrade) and nothing to compensate me for what happened or the inconvenience of me having to change rooms. Not happy. On a brighter note, played another poker tourny at PH and we chopped the prize pool 4 ways!

If you did not already know, there are two Starbucks in PH. One on the lobby level and one on the casino level.
I am enjoying your TR. 9 days until I arrive in Vegas!

Bellagio has smoking rooms? Did you just book a regular room and ask at check? I didn't think any Mlife place had any smoking rooms?

Always checking for my friends on this. They love Bellagio!

Yeah, Bellagio maintains a small inventory of smoking rooms. I think most are on the 19th floor. Aria also has some smoking options in their Sky Suites category. Those are the only exceptions at MGM properties-- even the terraces at MGM Signature are non-smoking, which I think is bullshit.

Were you (or are you even allowed) to smoke on the terrace during your stay at Cosmo?

Smoking is permitted on the terrace at Cosmo and there is an ashtray.

From your Day 3 report, too bad you didn't have better luck downtown. What a crazy story from the Uber driver about the lady getting shot - and he is still driving.
