Excellent report, this is one of my favorites for sure. I can't remember half of what I'm doing when I'm over there so I applaud you. Looking forward to your next TR and I'm glad you had a blast!

Excellent report, great photos and well written. I think you would really enjoy either Harrah's or the Flamingo if you are thinking CET. It seems you've enjoyed your time at each, they would fit within your budget and are centrally located.

    Great report, love it!
Give Harrahs a shot. As others have said, they're pretty good at comping rooms to mid-lower rollers. I'm staying at Caesars on a comp over Labor Day weekend, and I hunt down low limit tables.

I always try to hit at least one to two meals at Margaritaville. They have a good breakfast menu now that they finally started serving it again! I normally don't indulge in the pricey drinks since I can get free (with tip!) drinks in the casinos, however that watermelon margarita might cause me to rethink that lol

The fountains are beyond description for someone that has never seen them. And you are right - anything online doesn't do them justice. I will suggest that at some point on a future trip you make a trip to top of Eiffel Tower & watch a few shows from there. (I've done it several times both day & night but prefer night). My mom takes her scooter out on the Strip on Paris side by the leg of the tower (near where there is a small bar area) & just sits & watches for multiple shows.

I may have missed it but I don't believe you indicated if you had obtained a players card at CET (Harrahs, Flamingo, Paris etc) or not and played there. For your first teaser room comps it doesn't take a lot of play. So worth putting in a little bit of time one of these trips. (Slot play gets you comped rooms a lot quicker). Even if your account (create a log-in online) doesn't display 'offers', you likely will be able to put in your 'dates' and see heavy discounts or comps. If you used a card at TI, make sure you check with them also for your next trip.

TI is great for low roller comps. Plus they always make the resort fees optional.

Thanks for the great TR and all the pics.

I enjoyed your trip report. I appreciate the time and effort it probably took to type, edit and organize all of it. Great pictures! Great detail. It's nice that you ended the gambling with a little blackjack success.

    That was a great read!

If you get up early enough, like 6-7 am you'll see the Bellagio lake drained, pretty sure they drain it every morning for maintenance

Totally, after this adventure I can definitely say I quite like the solo trip concept... Agree with you for sure on The Still - pretty neat idea! Do you recall when it first opened?
If you like 80's music, rest assured you'll LOVE the Whip-Its. Try searching them on YouTube for some examples... Look forward to seeing your report! ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad to hear of your inspirations. :)
As you may have gathered from various hints throughout my report, I actually don't eat red meat or chicken - just fish/seafood. (Was raised that way and never "converted" or changed habits...though I think about it sometimes.) So, maybe it'll be a bit longer before I TRULY experience White Castle...haha. 24-hour "sandwich spots" are awfully nice indeed - I've memorized all the locations of the 24-hour Subway restaurants closest to me...

Absolutely - I'm hooked and can't wait to visit more now! (Orlando, etc.) Honestly, I really don't understand the negative reviews of these places that pop up here and there - "The music was too loud," "I don't really like Jimmy Buffett," "The stilt-walkers were distracting," etc. etc. If that's not your thing...just dine somewhere else.

    Great to know - thanks!

Thank you my friend! Now you know why I take careful notes on every vacation AND write it all down afterwards. ;)

Woo hoo - cheers to details! Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Appreciate the feedback - just "thinking out loud" on the CET idea for now, but you do raise some very good points on both...

Hey there! Hope you didn't roast this last week - as I alluded to earlier, I think I brought the heat home with me after this trip... :p

Thanks for the nice note - glad you liked it!

No, you're absolutely right - I DID forget to get a photo of that! Curious if you have any visuals from that trip? I've always wondered what those end/corner rooms at upscale resorts look like on the inside. I stayed in a corner suite at an Embassy Suites once - was pretty cool, BIG suite with lots of windows and an expanded living room.

That reminds me, one evening on this trip (maybe Sunday night?) I thought I had locked myself in the stairwell. While wandering about the 25th floor hallways, I poked my head into the staircase and let the door shut behind me. When I tried to go back inside, it was locked. The door handle wouldn't turn, there was no card slot to insert a room key, etc. Fearing I had to walk down 25 flights of stairs, I tried the 24th floor door...locked again, then the 23rd floor...phew, unlocked! I wonder if this has something to do with the more private Tower Rooms on the upper floors?

Thank you! I just might return there as well.

    Thanks so much! :)

This is helpful to know in planning, as well...

I like your thinking - indeed, would HIGHLY recommended their watermelon margarita (served frozen or on the rocks, however you like it). And really, what's a trip to Margaritaville without a margarita...

I couldn't agree more - really, beyond description and anything you'll see online doesn't even come close to the real thing. That sounds like quite a vantage point indeed!
Someday I'd love to visit at Christmastime to watch the shows they have choreographed to Christmas classics - like I mentioned in my report, I can't even fathom a grand finale for the big ending to a piece like the Hallelujah Chorus - "And he shall reign FOREVER AND EVER!"

No, actually that was the one location I played at sans a player's card. (Right now I have one for MLife and TI.) This is good to know going forward - I've never actually gotten comped anything before but maybe if I played more slots, like you mention...

    You are welcome!
Optional how? I definitely paid the $35/night (I think) last trip, but they also threw in things like a 2-for-1 cocktail, 2-for-1 Gilley's drafts, etc.

Definitely - a good chunk of time indeed but now I'll have it forever! Thanks for the kind words. And yes indeed, it was a fine way to end a wonderful trip.

:-O Really?? I'd love to check that out sometime! Have you seen this yourself before? Sounds WAY cool.
Actually, given my usual schedule from this trip, 6:00 or 7:00 AM would almost be closer to staying up LATE enough before going to bed...hah!
