Congrats on the handpay! I have to say, your TR is making me consider Wynncore instead of Aria SkySuites for my September trip

Thanks for the tip on La Cave; I have never dined there. Congrats on the hand pay!

Thank you! Although sometimes, being so close makes it too much of a temptation!

I've never tried the SkySuites - they certainly look gorgeous! My go-to are the Wynn Tower Suites with the separate entrance/registration/bar, much like the Aria. Plus Aria has Bardot Brasserie, which reminds me I need to visit again.

Me neither. Love a total surprise like this. May have to try at another time; it really looks like a lovely wine bar!

Really nice trip report - love your style!
    Congrats on the handpay!
You've sold me on La Cave for the next time we stay at Wynn! All the food pics are great.
Wynn is a classy property and we would stay there more often if we could win there occasionallly...

Great report, glad you had a wonderful trip! Fflowers and I are frequent diners at Wynncore and our experience with SW was the same as yours. Excellent restaurant but nothing special that drives us to return. Next trip....turn right into Lakeside instead of left into SW! We've found Lakeside to be far better than SW, and very consistent as we've now eaten there multiple times. Their fillet is one of the best I've had, service is excellent, and I could wax poetic about the sangria. We arrive in Vegas tonight (yea!) and we already have dinner reservations at Lakeside for July 3rd, our last night. Give it a try on your next trip!

Thank you! Surprisingly, it's Encore that I always seem to do much better in. (By better, I mean enough winning so that the bankroll extends for hours instead of minutes! :D) Although I did get my handpay in the Wynn...

Thanks, Diane! Mmmm, sangria. Sold! (Really, it's just some variation of twisting my rubber arm!) I'm in town from July 1-4 but at the Delano this time. Have a lovely meal for me. I'll be at Charlie Palmer's on Saturday night. More than welcome to meet for some drinks or other shenanigans!

That they do.. and that just might be enough to keep me at Aria (and Sage, and Javiers, and Todd English... and I want to try Carbone...):licklips:

Haha, looks like we all have plenty of excuses, er, reasons to get back to Vegas sooner rather than later.
(Javier's and Carbone are on our favorites list; problem is the list keeps growing):feedme:

Right? I haven't tried Javier's or Carbone yet. Also one day, é by José Andrés at the Cosmo. Never a time when I haven't discovered some new place. That's one of my best exc-- reasons to go to Vegas!

Love the report, definitely something to consider when / if I book Wynn. I do want to say: I'm incredibly jealous by your turnout in terms of gambling and comps. I'm usually dry really quickly with $1500 a day. Don't want to even tell you how much I spent last time I was at V/P. I do gotta say, the CET casinos aren't as great with the whole comping / host thing which is why I prefer my play in Vegas to be at the nicer properties.

This was an unusual trip; I won enough to keep me playing with plenty of coin in. That is not the norm. Having said that, right now, Wynn is comping more favorably than both MLife and CET. I was disappointed with my recent trip to Delano; the backend comps were pretty minimal for my coin-in, especially compared to a trip I made last Xmas. CET offers more nights and the rooms are fine, but I just don't like the slots there.

Thank you! Here's to many more! :woot:

Frankly, the rooms at Wynn, the experience of staying at Wynn, and the gambling at Wynn make it the place for me vs the mentioned holding companies. I also have had a tremendous experience at VP but I think I'm going to see how Wynn continues to play out. Then it's off to Cosmo :)
