I wasn't sure if this was the correct 'category' to throw this post into .... (my apologies if it wasn't)

I'm curious to know how many people visit alone in Vegas?

I'm quite young and have been going to Vegas alone for many years now. Do I wish I had people to keep me company? Absolutely. But no one I know enjoys gambling as much as I do. I've always loved Vegas. I love everything about it. It truly is MY Disneyland.

When I tell people I go alone they always look at me with a certain awkward look. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. For 3 nights and 4 days I don't have to answer to anyone. I can do whatever I want, no questions asked! 90% of my time is spent on the slots, 10% on Let it Ride.

Do any of you go alone?

I'm arriving tomorrow late afternoon. Going to Vegas is like my Christmas and today is my Christmas eve :D

    Cheers
    ~ S

Welcome! Many, many people go to Vegas solo, me included. I LOVE my solo trips. I gamble when I want, eat when I want, sleep when I want, etc.

Have a great trip and Merry Christmas!

I enjoy all my Vegas trips, but my favorite trips are when I am solo but I know other people in town. It's great to have the majority of time to do whatever I want along with a few lunches or dinners with friends mixed in.

Never gone solo but hubby sometimes spends a lot of time in the poker room and I get to roam around alone and do whatever, whenever. We sometimes just meet up for meals or to go to another casino for him to check out the poker room and me to head out on my own again. I love the freedom but it is nice to have someone to check in with too. Hope you have a great trip!!

I am going solo for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking forward to it! I'll probably do the same things as when my husband is with me, but won't have to share my bankroll with anyone!!:evillaugh

I used to go solo all the time in my younger college days. Loved it! You can always meet people there, and I didn't have a lot of friends with enough money to go along, since I was in college....

I prefer Solo. Your problem is the lack of days Solo. I prefer 7-10. You are really never alone in Vegas. Life is best with no one to answer to and when you are King of the World!

    Hi Everybody

I always go solo because none of my relatives like going to Vegas during the week.
I think it would be fun to meet up with some of you solo travelers to Vegas
just for lunch or dinner while in Vegas.

I am booked for 3 nights at the Flamingo, Sept. 3 -5th,2012.

Yes, some people I meet in Vegas do think I am strange being in Vegas
by myself since I am female. But, I have no one to travel with me.
My choice is to stay home or travel by myself. I stayed home for many years
and then I discovered Vegas as a solo traveler and I love it.

I will be in Vegas for one week before Christmas at the Caesars Palace.
I am hoping a relative or friend will go with me so they can enjoy the
    beauty of Vegas. Lucy

I have gone to Vegas solo a lot. Sometimes I meet a friend who lives there for a dinner or two. I have had great times solo and lonely times solo. It depends on my state of mind. Ideally I would like a girlfriend or just a friend to go with me to meet for dinner or a show. That would leave me all day to play poker. But what about poker at night? Guess I'll have to just adjust my state of mind and go solo.

I took one solo trip to Vegas in 2004. I did meet up with someone on a LV message board twice. I also have family in Vegas so I met up with them for a couple of meals. Vegas was OK by myself but I wouldn't want to go on a cruise alone.

    Solo on a cruise ship....

I belong to a cruise message board and everytime I plan a cruise for SOLO/ME.... I go to the ROLL CALL for that ship and the date and I make lots of friends to hang out with on the cruise ship. I even make plans to sit
at a dinner table with some of the cruisers that I have met.

I also belong to Singles travel groups for cruises and land trips. That's another way of not being alone on a long trip.

I think that some of us here can also make plans to meet at least one time
in Vegas just to say hello and have fun talking for awhile.

If I get lonely in my hotel room.... I just call my relatives and friends and talk for a long time and it feels like I am home.

Meanwhile.... I am still having fun going solo to Vegas. Lucy

Solo is the way to go!

I do like my trips when I take them with my mom or my sister and brotherinlaw. But I prefer to go solo. It gives me a sense of being in a wonderland all my own and I can come and go as I please.

I go solo myself quite often. My friends rarely go to Vegas and I like to go at least 3 times a year or more. I have been with a group of 8 once and trying to get 8 people to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner can be very trying. Some people ask me how can you go yourself or how can you have fun by yourself?
There so much to do in Vegas to keep yourself occupied. My next trip in July is a solo trip and I am looking forward to it as always.

I will be solo from July 8-11 at The Flamingo before my friends get in. This will be my first solo time in Vegas without wife/friends. I do have a brother that lives on Spanish Trail that I will meet up with but I am looking forward to doing what I want when I want.

About the same, but probably 10% on Craps instead.

Would gladly go solo if had to but always prefer to take the SO.

90% of my trips are solo. I like it that way. Marathon sessions of poker are more fun when I'm not worrying about what time I need to get back etc. My first job taught me how to travel solo so I never give it a second thought.
