I've seen soany mentions of EggSlut over the years but yet to see a good explanation why I should wait in a line for a Slut. So what is it really - why should I get a Slut?

For me? Long line = no slut. It’s good, but not for that long of a wait.

Only ever tried it once. I was in no way blown away. Certainly not worth a 15 minute wait IMO. I think part of why it does so well is it's really the only option for breakfast in Cosmo aside from the Henry which is usually at capacity during breakfast/brunch times.

I am on record stating that I am not only not a big breakfast person, but am also not a fan of either overpaying or waiting in lines. Not to mention, there is an upper limit to me for how good a breakfast can be. As a former NYC denizen, the $2 bacon-and-egg-on-a-roll from a random cart outside the subway station has magical healing powers; unfortunately, there is not a great equivalent on the Strip.

    I wouldn't wait.

I've walked by Eggslut dozens of times. Line too long.
Walked up once, almost no line. I'll have a slut, I announced, only to hear, sorry, we just sold the last one.
Finally last year, during Covid, line was only 3-4 people long. And I got a slut. It's excellent. But I wouldn't wait in a 20-30 + minute line for it.

I think I saw a tweet that there's a new menu item... duck fat fries? Not sure. But approach would be same... I'd try it if I could walk up and get it. Wouldn't wait in a long line.

I've never had the Slut, but I LOVE the bacon egg & cheese sandwich. It's the combo of the slightly spicy ketchup + the perfectly crispy bacon along with the egg on that roll mmmm....

But I agree - not something I'd wait 15m for. Think I stood in a line once that wrapped all the way down the hallway next to it. Go a little later in the day and there will maybe be 1-2 people in line.

Across the way @ District Donuts, the Bacon Egg & Cheese kolache is also great, and there's rarely a line here for some reason. Think I had an amazing blueberry soda here once too.

It’s tasty! But ... if I go I go early early so short line. Plus I love the down-the-rabbit-hole seating area near EggSlut.

If thorough, and as things return to normal, plenty of breakfast options at Cosmo
Eggslut. District Donuts. The Juice Place makes breakfast dishes. The Henry. Overlook Grill. STK has weekend brunch. And Wicked Spoon.

Try a Fairfax (scrambled egg, cheddar, grilled onions on Brioche) or Gaucho (Steak tips, eggs, red onion, arugula) sandwich instead. Both are excellent and either can be served as a salad if you're cutting carbs.

Personally I don't like waiting for sluts, if its easy and quick I'm in, otherwise I will find something more wholesome. Wait...what are we talking about?

I’ll pile on to the consensus opinion: it’s tasty but not worth a long wait. Try it for an afternoon snack when you skipped breakfast/lunch and need something to get you to dinner. Lines are usually very short or non-existent at that time (at least they were in the Before Time).

I will say that the line does move more quickly than you’d think. So 8-10 folks in front of you is nothing to be too concerned about...at least in my (limited) experience.

If you never had a good ole down slut, youre missing out. Especially when youve had it in your hands, it oozes (the egg you pig)down your chin, you know you hit the jackpot.

Hype. Folks buy into it, thus the long lines. Like they HAVE to have one and tell the story. :rolleyes2:

I am of the belief: no food is worth standing in a long line for, especially fast food. There are too many choices out there. But that's just me.

This is an NYC problem, as well. People wait in lines because there are other people waiting in the line. See, e.g., the cronut.

The best reason to love the Slut: everything is on the menu.

I agree, it's good but depending on how long the line is, not THAT good. It's definitely good quality food and prepared well and consistently though. I'm sure part of it's popularity is due to it's location. Coming right off the boulevard (I think??) elevators it's the first thing you see.
Plus the name... I feel like it was just named "Eggs" or something less eye catching, people wouldn't be as in a hurry to try it. Are you going to go home and tell your friends about a random breakfast sandwich you had, or are you going to immediately take a picture and post it on Instagram showing everyone you just had a Slut for breakfast?? :haha: Gonna HAVE to wait in line to get that picture!!:rolleyes:

It's a fancy Egg McMuffin. So maybe you don't want to. I enjoy them, but I'm also not going to wait in a long line for one.

The beauty of Las Vegas is that there is a nearly endless list of options. No one thing is for everyone and that's okay.

We tried it over the weekend. It was really good, but not worth the 45min line. The next day we tried the breakfast sandwiches at the District Donut place and actually liked them better. And only 5min wait.

protip, if you are shutting down the casino floor at 6:30am on a weeknight, you can dodge the line (IME) by showing up around 7:20.

we always felt the same (probably overhyped and not worth the wait), but it is the perfect breakfast after drinking all night (or if someone who has runs it up to the room and wakes you up with it).
