I certainly won't be canceling my trip but it is nice to know what to expect. Great videos everybody and all apologies for starting a thread when there was already one. I hadn't looked in the section of the forum before. The Casinos may be though as I am sure a lot of people may decide to stay inside rather than ford through the grasshoppers.

FWIW I got in at about 11 pm. Staying downtown. I saw one lonely little guy at the airport and that’s it... haven’t seen a single one since. That’s not to say I won’t see any, but so far so good. My Uber driver told me it seems to be winding down.

I saw on The Weather Channel that there were two radar blips over LV---one showing a shower and one showing a swarm of those grasshoppers.

I walked a lot between Caesars and harrahs down to Bally’s and didn’t notice any of them. I walked mostly through casinos but would have noticed if it was bad. Business as usual for everyone.

There are no grasshoppers nor any trace of such. Locals I spoke to are mystified it was such a national news item.

My take: slow news cycle, media event, highly exaggerated.

I'm at Tuscany Suites right now and haven't seen any grasshoppers here . We did see them hopping around the cemetery (!!) on Eastern Avenue south of Warm Springs which was rather unnerving. (Note: visiting family buried there)

I've spent the bulk of my day at the MGM pool and saw one live one and maybe ten dead ones in the lazy river. None of the swarming seen on the news.

Just got home from a week for Las Vegas Furniture Market. I stayed at Luxor and saw 2 at the pool on Sunday evening. Last Friday morning i went for a walk to CVS by Park MGM at 5 am and didn't notice them until I got to the door there. I'd say there were 30-50 on the ground and on the doors there. Thats extent of what I saw. Nothing when I went out at night but I was in the room by 11 since I was there for work.

I left Vegas yesterday afternoon and saw exactly three live grasshoppers in my three days there. My Lyft drivers all seemed to indicate the bugs had pretty much moved on.
