OK, so my BFF and I are going in about 10 days. We're eating one dinner at Hell's Kitchen, using my 7* comp vouchers.

For the second meal, I have comps at:

    Use or lose
    M Resort Buffet
$50 at Silverton (not going on lobster buffet night this trip)
    $100 at the D (Andiamo's. . . again)

    Good in perpetuity
    $300 at QQQQ
Any CET restaurant (Rao's or Matorano's is a possibility, Mr. Chow's if we pick up a third)
Any mLife restaurant (China Tang is a possibility)

If we decide to "pay", Jerry's Nugget Prime Rib is on our bucket list. There's also Arawan

    I know, first world problems, but suggestions welcome . . . .

P.S. I should've added this in the original post. Neither me nor my BFF are alcohol drinkers.

My first idea was to use or lose first....but really except for Andiamo, the other choices are not as great as your others.

Is there a reason why you are taking Hell's Kitchen as a first meal.....Love, love Mr Chows.... like Matoranos not as much as Rao's.

And I certainly would not pay....not with the great choices you have.

If it were me, I'd go to Andiamo's...but if not there, then to Hugo's at 4-Queens... but I'm a "downtown guy", so there's that...

Actually, Hell's Kitchen is the second meal.

Mr. Chow's I only eat there with three or more because you need a minimum of three for peking duck carved tableside.

I liked Rao's but would like to try Martorano's veal cutlet martorano. It depends on whether or not we're in an "italian mood". We're just two old ABC (American Born Chinese) "peasants" who like to live it up in Las Vegas.

Andiamo's - I've eaten there so much (probably over 10 times since the D was my "home property in 2014)

Hugo's Cellar - I consider this to be a "date place" and my BFF is a guy . . . . 'nuff said

Travelzoo and Groupon have good deals at Giada's too, by the looks of it you're staying at Cromwell so it might be worth looking into.

I appreciate the thought, but I also think of Giada's as a "date place". Plus, I've eaten there many times.

My immediate thought was Andiamo’s. But I understand your reluctance, having dined there so often.

And I understand your reasoning re Hugo’s.

What surprises me is the possible inclusion of prime rib at Jerry’s Nugget. I have not eaten there yet, but it is on my list of possibilities for my next Downtown stay. I plan to take the 113 bus there and back. I certainly would be interested in hearing any experiences!

@DaiLun, Shell and I love Martorano's, the chicken parm is great and Shell really likes the meatball. It is one of our go to places, as we prefer the "Sunday gravy" over Rao's.

I've struck Rao's off my list of places to go. My last trip there the veal was chewy - worst entree I've ever at any Italian restaurant. If it was a bit cheaper I would maybe forgive them but I eat out Italian a lot here in New York and I would never be able to get into his their Harlem restaurant. I think they're over priced by about 30%. BTW, I've had some good meals there too, but in general I don't get a restaurant of their reputation having a dish cooked so poorly. OK - I'm done.

If you like barbecue I would recommend Mabel's at the Palms. It's owned by Michael Symon. It's very reasonably priced and they give really good portions - don't over order.

Have you tried Bavettes in the Park MGM yet, was really great when we were there in August. Also getting real good reviews.

    Arawan or Jerry’s.

    Arawan - damn good food.
Jerry’s - Knock that off your list & try something NEW. Plus gambling there could be fun.

    insin,

Thanks for the opinion on Jerry’s Casino food. I think that I will try it on my next Downtown adventure.

    Appreciate it!

Bavette's is very good, and I prefer it to Jean-Georges because they're a little less a la carte (e.g., the fried chicken comes with mashed potatoes as opposed to making you buy a side order). China Tang is decent as well, as is Lemongrass. I wasn't a huge fan of Blossom, though.

I'm personally not a fan of Mr. Chow at all. I've been a few times, and every single time it was a bit off.

@DaiLun have you ever been to Hell's Kitchen? It is one of the few places I went to in Vegas and will absolutely never go back to. This post in another forum is spot on (https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/hells-kitchen.162637/page-2#post-1894136)...
