Wife &I will be in Vegas after road tripping. Not before we turn in the rental car my plan is to go somewhere to buy sodas, wine, and snacks for in our hotel room. What is the best place to go? Or should we do it before we get to Vegas?

There are Wal Marts with decent prices. You can google the locations depending on where you are coming into town.

I am going to agree that if you hit a Walmart or something similiar on your way into town and away from the strip you would be better off. If you can pack some stuff from your local all the better. We always hit a Walgreens or CVS when we get to town because we fly as light as possible. The prices probably aren't the best but it beats buying anything inside a casino property.

You can probably check some prices online at Walgreens or CVS and compare how different they are.

There are oodles of grocery stores - when we go for work, I usually go to a Trader Joe's because I like their meats & cheeses & salads (we do trade shows and bring our lunch in ever day). Agree just use google maps depending on your driving route from wherever to the hotel. Anything more than a couple blocks off-Strip is going to have regular prices and be easier than carting in from further away. There's a Costco (with liquor store) near downtown if you need BIG quantities :) (I get excited by Costcos with liquor stores since I live in an ABC state ;-)

I love the $.99 Store on Flamingo and Maryland Pkwy and the $.99 Store on Tropicana and S. Nellis Blvd. They have a huge assortment of stuff...chips, chocolate, fruit...and the prices beat everyone. I always buy a canister of Pringles and they're $.99 as opposed to Walmart where they're $1.50. I always buy a coffee maker when I fly into town at the Walmart ($10) but I get my expresso strength coffee at the $.99 Store where I pay $.99 instead of $9.99 like at Walmart. So, I stock up there. I'm just tooooo frugal.

For ease of finding a place and decent prices, we always hit walmart as well. Its usually the first place we head after picking up the rental car from the airport as we have a standard list of things we buy after getting to Vegas like water, snacks and a few things that are easier to buy rather than transport. Nail polish and nail polish remover (for the wife) are also in that list because they are both too risky to transport. Either makes a nasty mess if it spills in your luggage.

Right there with you! We are Sam's Club members and feel the same way about finding a Sams with liquor. If we are on a road trip and come across one we usually stock up. The prices are amazing compared to our local liquor stores.

Where are you staying? That will help narrow down the recommendations.

If running low on time and convenience for sodas and snacks I find the am pm by Luxor. Have avg prices and some deals. Even beer is ok price there if your looking for a drink. I ended up stay mostly in the South end of the strip. And find my self always gassing up there and getting snacks and stuff.
