There is one advantage of hitting the max button over the play button on the deal. If you weren’t on the deal, but on the draw, your max button would not do anything if you didn’t hold any cards, and allow you to correct your mistake if necessary. The play button in that case, would give you 5 new cards.

Now if the sound is not down, you can hear difference, on the deal.

This has happened a few times at the SHR. A person is playing a slot machine, one of those interactive thingys, and doesn't understand the game. They hit a bonus feature and just sit there gawking at the machine, as time ticks down, not realizing they're expected to do some touch-screen function. I've leaned over played the feature explaining what they need to do. Granted, I could just sit there, do nothing, and the player loses out on the payout. My observation: inevitably, the players did not speak English. I s'pose the line of thinking is, either "I understand slots" or "I can figure this out", but I don't know that I'd do any gaming where I didn't - at minimum - understand enough of the language to semi-correctly play the game. I only played blackjack in Austria, so I know the signage in the casino was German, English and French. Do slot machines have a help menu in a language other than English?

My pet peeve is a slot machine with an apparent entrance into the bonus feature that STILL requires you make a 50/50 guess to actually get a bonus. The Airplane Movie slot machine bonus required you to get three bonus features on the screen, then just as I was celebrating hitting that difficult to obtain result, I faced an additional obstacle of picking one of two airplanes. One plane got your actually into the bonus, the other did not. An unsuccessful airplane pick was even more frustrating that a paltry bonus on other machines.

Agree on 2 & 3 but I’d much rather have a loud VP machine than a silent one.

Biggest VP pet peeve is non functioning buttons

I'm guilty of this. Why? Well, it is how I change the RNG. If I win the hand - I hit repeat bet. If I lose - I hit Max Bet. I'm just trying to get out of that "slump" where you keep the same "time" or consistent button pushing and get a losing result. I didn't think that would be a bother. Hmm. I guess I could see it could be annoying if the volume was up. *shrug*

One of mine is when someone has a very loud penny machine and lets it count up every. single. time. This can literally drive me bonkers at Plaza. Many folks there play the penny slots near VP and they let it count up when they win big...like $5 and it slowly counts at a very high volume. I sometimes let my money count, but there's a limit to my patience! I just wish it wasn't so loud and "tinny" sounding. Also, I hate Bubble Craps lady that just keeps repeating "Roll The Dice." Ugh.

When you hit the max bet button you get 5 "Bing Bing Bing" sounds. Hearing that every 5 seconds to me is annoying.

Mine would have to be putting 100$ in a machine and the drink lady comes by fairly quick and the next thing i know i have zero credits and my drink hasn't arrived yet. I just love those 100$ beers! Not lol. Other one would be is playing max bet on any slot and you get a bonus and you only win your bet back. I would rather not get a bonus if they wont pay me shit like less than 10x my max bet. I'll take 30-40$ for a bonus but the thrill is rather low for me. I rent a scooter due to mobility issues and my pet peeve is people who are walking in front of just suddenly stop. I've only hit 2 people who have done this but have had a lot of close calls. lucky for those people i didn't hit them very hard cause i pay a lot of attention and try to keep a good distance so i have time to stop. The slow walkers who walk right in the middle of the sidewalk or walk way. All the people who use the elevators that don't need to on the strip sidewalks and intersections haha.

A lot of these cross over for Video Poker players, and my biggest pet peeve is button slappers. They ruin machines and are obnoxious and awful to play near!

People hitting, slapping, shaking a machine. They typically already have bad attitudes and I don't want to be around them. When I see this happen I secretly want them to break the machine so they have to pay for it and hopefully learn some manners.

Imagine your dismay if that happened on a $5 machine in high limit on 10 bonus spins. Because that happened to me Wednesday morning, and it was a reel machine with no scatter pay on the bonus trigger. I literally lost money on 10 free games by winning absolute zero.

Sorry. I cant hear well. And for whatever reason, if I cant hear something, I wont play it. There are some games I play on medium volume though. True story, I got a bonus on planet moolah at Caesars Palace kind of adjacent to GR pub entrance e Wednesday night, and luck ofthe draw and my other friend were in the forum food court at a table and they heard it and that, I think, is how they found me :D

But I agree. I only turn it up enough to hear over the machines around me, which is often full, but I never use any more volume than I need to hear it, and I'll turn em down during a loud bonus on a machine that lets me.

Which brings up another pet peeve I never realized I had, lol! The slot techs should fix any machines that have no volume. It's no fun to play machines with no boops, beeps, and eeps.

And while they're at it please fix the sticky buttons.

And if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread my apologies. I was lazy and didn't want to read through all the pages.

Which brings up another pet peeve: laziness. But that's another thread and I'm the first to plead guilty.

    "c'mon...ROLL THE DICE"

    "History of Seven series......"

I hate that two. Sadly, bubble craps is located very close to two of my favorite VP locations. Gustavs @ Paris and the Vue Bar at the D.

I sat next to a lady on Saturday night at Horseshoe Southern Indiana that was doing this. It was so weird! I had never seen this happen before.

Put your call button and ask for a slot tech to fix buttons or adjust the volume. I have done it many times and works great.
Pet peeve is playing vp and someone plays video keno on loud volume The binging makes me leave.

Not sure about pinball machine, but I know you need to shake a slot machine in certain rhyme to make it pay big.

Smokers who ARE too lazy to actually blow smoke. They either have no lung strength left or they actually don't inhale. Bottom feeders who run from Ultimate X machine to machine looking for multipliers to play. They come by every couple of hours. Is that what your life actually amounts to... checking VP machines for multipliers????
The absolute most annoying is being in the middle of a session and someone sits down beside you and asks how to play. Really? You wondered through this entire casino and you decide to sit down beside me and ask me how to play VP??? How lucky can I be for that to happen? GTF away from me....
