Based on recent TRs pointing out Skyline’s generous VP and various promotions, I was thinking about staying there for a couple nights; the ratings seem pretty good, and the hotel rooms were built quite recently if the articles I read were accurate. Has anybody stayed there recently? If so, what was your general impression, and are there any particular strong points/caveats of note? Has anybody had a room comped there and/or received offers for comped nights (I know it’s a locals’ casino but hey, if they have the rooms :))? Thanks in advance for anything you care to share

Never stayed there, but love, love, love the place. I've played there a handful of times over my last few trips, but I've never gotten a mailer from them. I'm guessing they don't do that or at least don't do that for non-locals. They only started their player's club within the last two years or so - maybe mailers will be the next step?

I'm pretty sure that you could use points to pay for the room. At .875% cashback on VP (assuming the 24/7 7x points promo continues), you could probably easily earn enough to pay for the rooms outright or at least offset the cost considerably.

We stayed there in November of 2018 for 2 nights the rooms are really nice and just redone lots of room and the bathroom is very nice and roomy too. Plenty of dressers and racks for clothes and a fire place that works also a 60 inch plus flat screen tv with a very comfortable king bed believe it was called an executive king room and it had fridge and a coffee maker if i remember right, we stayed there for the laundry facility's, they are really nice and are very clean, the restaurant has excellent food and very cheap prices, There is a barber shop on site and they have a small sports book William Hill, and 1 Black Jack table that opens at 4:00 pm til 2:00 am. A good selection of slots mostly older types and the v/p had good odds and range of games, they have bingo cards for v/p quads, that looked fun we did not take advantage of this wish we would have played longer at the bar but we had other plans, the wife played for awhile and I sat there and watched they served both of us beer after we put a $20.00 in and we never had to ask for a beer again the next one was there before we were done with the last one. When you check in you roll chuck a luck dice in a cage for a free room, that was cool. We forgot to ask about comping are room and food for are play, i can't believe we didn't. They also have a live band some nights in the lounge and a poker room that i think is open on weekends. We would definitely stay there again we really enjoyed it but we have never received an offer from them and we did get a players card and signup for email offers. We always rent or drive are car to vegas so being out on Boulder highway is not a problem for us. We have pic's in are nov 2018 TR mr. & mrs. vegas road trip to vegas.

Beautiful, freshly remodeled rooms. Great breakfast deal. Can't speak to the comps, but would definitely return.
