Has anyone ever stayed there? Wife and I are thinking of doing one of our October nights there in one of their fireplace rooms. Any feedback would be much appreciated

My precious! I love Skyline. I've never stayed there, but I have heard positive things about the rooms. It's a smaller place - but has a good variety of VP and enough slots. Three BJ tables - rarely open. Tiny poker room open limited hours. Surprisingly decent tiny sports book. The do live music several days a week (not sure exact schedule post-COVID). I love hanging out at the bar playing $.25 9/6 JOB w/ RF progressive, having a drink, and watching a game.

I’ve never stayed there, but drove by it. I think the hotel portion is just a few years old. But I wouldn’t recommend unless you have a rental car.

Skyline is my favorite locals casino. I play there every trip. Never stayed as I get free rooms from the big casinos but I’d love to know how the rooms are. I was very surprised to see that the rooms at the Longhorn (up the street) are very acceptable. I’d stay there without a concern.

Nearly stayed there a while back. Rooms look good online, although I'm not sure how much use the fireplace would get in the summer. The $110 seemed reasonable. Just never pulled the trigger.

Wife and I have been adding a day for the Henderson casinos each trip- the ones on Water Street. So much friendlier and appreciative of their players, unlike the strip and downtown. We did step into Skyline once and played a bit, but are thinking of trying a night there, if so I will let all know how it was. Thanks to all who replied.

We stayed there a couple of years ago really liked it would stay again if we had to pay for rooms the Fireplace room is called Executive King we stayed in we loved it great room. You could check out are TR Mr. and Mrs. Vegas road trip to Vegas we detail are stay there and had a bunch of picks of room and casino. We liked the cafe the food was good and reasonable slots were good for short stay and BJ was fun believe it started at 5:00 pm til 2:00 am may have changed now. Poker Room on weekends only. Has nice laundry on 2nd floor. You roll dice to see if you get a free room at check in. Live bands in bar area most weekends and sometimes during the week. Vp was good when we were there. The sports book is small but fine for betting and watching small crowd. They had a barber shop. I believe they also added a pool. I would encourage you to try the Skyline and I believe we paid right around $100.00 a night. I think it's been 3 years sense we stayed.

I have been toying with the idea of staying a few nights at Skyline during an upcoming December trip. We played there for a few hours on our trip in May (Thank you @eliza for putting them on our radar! :)), and really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, not to mention the $5 BJ, which was the only $5 table we saw on our trip. I also have a special place in my heart for old-school coin droppers, and they have a few. Even found a 25c 9/6 DDB coin dropper.

I am wondering if anybody knows how generous they are with comps. Will a few hours of $5 BJ and 25c VP get me anything? $100/nt is a bit steep considering I can get comped at Boyd or The D.

I think that’s the main issue with Skyline - as far as we can tell they don’t offer comp rooms  They do have a generous players club - one could use points to pay for the room, directly or indirectly :) Since the hotel is relatively small and there is a senior community nearby - those visiting people in that community serve as a customer base, presumably - the probability of room comps in the future may not be that great :hmmm:

For s and g’s, I wanted to satisfy my curiosity and check the Skyline out. Going through the casino entrance in the back, you walk through part of the casino, then the cage is on the left to get a player’s card. Then I played 9/6 JoB at the bar which has a progressive on the RF. Restrooms are on either end of the casino and are short walks. Erica was the bartender/CW on duty, but thankfully for her it was a light crowd to handle. Most of the clientele was of the senior variety (I fit right in!) , and in about an hour and a half of banging away on the bar top, I had racked up nearly 7000 points and lost about $50. It was a nice and for the most part, quiet place to play. One idiot sat next to me when there were plenty of open spots elsewhere, tossed a $20 into the machine and started playing keno. Then when Channel 7 or whatever was playing on Sirius XM, he started humming to that. I wanted to, but chose to resist making any comments about hummers. Thankfully a fool and his $20 were soon parted and he moved elsewhere. I’ll give the Skyline a break and probably return.

They just sent an email with their Monday night football watch party details. $1 beer, free hot dogs (used to be at half time not clear if this is the same this year), and giveaways during game. Last time I was there they handed each guest a raffle ticket during pre-game. I left a couple minutes into the second quarter and they had done 3 or 4 raffles at that point. Great place to belly up to bar to watch game even if you don’t want to play the FP w progressive VP.

Sky Line is great, my wife and I stayed there on the first night of our last trip. Rooms were nice, very clean, all staff in casino and hotel were great. We are video poker players they have a fair selection of full pay scattered through out the casino and the bar. Reading Eliza's trip reports brought it to our attention. We plan on putting this casino in our rotation on our Vegas visits.

Has anyone recieved mailers or email offers from Sky Line?

I've never heard of anyone getting a mailer or targeted offers by mail/email. They have an email list that sends out periodic emails with their specials/promotions. I don't even think they have hosts. I assume you could use your points to cover a room charge, but I'm honestly not sure.

Also - totally random, but we are apparently neighbors - I'm in Hillsboro.

I booked a one nighter for NYE. I am at Fremont for 5 nights but will stay at Skyline in the middle since I don't think I would survive the NYE crowd on Fremont.
