I stumbled on this Sigma Derby page tonight and found it really interesting.

It updates conditions of the game, explains how the game works and mentions there are only 2 of this vintage game available in Vegas. That means there are only 20 betting seats available in all of Vegas for Sigma Derby. That's a game to put on a bucket list before it's gone!

For those of us who have ever played, want to play or have no idea what I'm talking about... :)

The one at The D is usually busy. Late at night it is packed with a young crowd and I could watch them for hours as they hoot and holler. Cocktail waitresses go through every 15 or 20 minutes and the kids have a great time. It is definitely a must play game and you can play one quarter at a time.

I wish you could make Win Place Show bets on that thing. I guess then you would really never leave. I'm hoping to play it at the D this time around.

The one at MGM recently broke down and the early word was it was not going to be fixed. But apparently they will be fixing it

last time I played the one at the D.. the macine kept eating my quarters.. probably around 5 bucks before I realized.. The slot tech opened up the machine grabbed like 10 bucks worth of quarters and threw them in my bucket.. what a fun game!! always bet the longshots!!!

One of my favorites! I always make sure to stop by at least once a trip.

Great social game, the drink service is also solid for such a low level bet. They did get rid of the cash cage upstairs though, not the end of the world though since you have to go downstairs to leave the casino anyways. I hope the D never gets rid of it since they gutted the vintage vegas they used to have.

Ya, there's not much vintage left up there. It's a great draw for the casino though, even if it only seats 10. Once people get up there and find no seats, they hang around and play the other games.

I love watching all the hooting and hollering that goes on there!

SD at the D is one of my must-do things downtown!

Yeah, great vibe at the table.

Also, one of the best ones to suck up free drinks with minimal outlays. A few quarters every two minutes or so and all the drinks you can stand! :)

Edit: I may be wrong, but I SWEAR it was at the Stardust before 1985!

There was a Camel one at Luxor until around 2004 or so. My wife would get so mad at me for dragging her down there to play that damn camel quarter machine. We'd walk from Harrah's all the way down there and back lol
