www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9135811/Siegfried-Fischbacher-terminally-ill-pancreatic-cancer-months-Roy-died-COVID-19.html Dear Mr. Siegfried, this is very sad news. Unfortunately, I was never able to see Siegfried & Roy's show live. But wonderful photos and TV recordings were already an experience. I hope that you are in good and helpful hands!
Their's is an amazing story. It is at times like these that I truly appreciate growing up in the 60's and 70's. My grandkids have missed out on so many great singers, actors and performers. Mr. Siegfried and Mr Roy over came prejudice and humble beginnings to become world famous!
Here's the LVRJ article on his cancer: https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/siegfried-fischbacher-battling-cancer-in-las-vegas-2249693/
So Sad. Saw the show years ago and it was wonderful. Actually met him a couple of times at the Secret Garden, he was so nice and has a very engaging personality.
Terrible to hear this, my mother in law is also fighting pancreatic cancer and it's vicious. He's definitely in my thoughts during this trying time.
Saw the show in mid 90's and was lucky enough to meet him at the secret garden a few years ago, he was a total class act with all the visitors , he even flirted a little with me
Cancer sucks! It's taken so many good people before their time. I also regret not seeing Ziegfried & Roy years ago.
R.I.P. I saw the show three times, the first time at the New Frontier. Is it me, or are more people dying of pancreatic cancer nowadays? So many notable people, so many of my friends and acquaintances, and so many of my relatives have succumbed to it these past few years.
Often when one partner goes usually it isn't long before the other one does too. I can only imagine the grief he is going through plus having to deal with cancer. He probably wants to be with Roy again.
My wife and I had a picture taken with him at the Secret Gardens a few years ago. While I am sure it was a contractual requirement, he was a pro. Did not act like it was laborious or inconvenient to him. He seemed genuine and happy to be there. He was sorta like the EXACT opposite of Pete Rose and seemed like a good cat. (Feline reference partially intended) Cancer sucks rocks.
Wishing him comfort in these times. I have a lot of respect for him and Roy for many reasons, including their humane treatment of animals. Ran into him completely by chance at the secret garden habitat behind the Mirage maybe 4-5 years ago. He was walking around like any other guest, except dressed slightly flamboyantly and trailed by security. He talked to anyone who approached him and took pictures with anyone who asked, including myself. Very down to Earth guy. Was an unforgettable experience. I was too young to catch his show but not too young for Siegfried and Roy to be relevant in the zeitgeist in my formative years...I remember and enjoyed their guest appearances in the Simpsons, Vegas Vacation, and Casino.
