    Wondering which is better? I have taken shuttle before and you have to keep stopping at all the different properties to let others off. Wondering if more expensive to just get a taxi to go to Caesar's?

    no comparison, the taxi is the better mode of transportation. However it can come at a price. It also depends how many of you, if 2 or more then the taxi might be the better deal. if you are solo then the shuttle might be more economical.

    With a taxi you avoid the multiple stops that you get on a shuttle. but at the same time you could get long hauled or have added costs added to your fare because the driver took a longer route. with a shuttle it is a flat fare and you don't have to worry about getting long hauled, but then it will take longer to get to your hotel depending on how many stops.

    btw, there are sticky posts on the top of this getting around forum that describes the various modes of transportation and costs of the shuttles, etc. there is also a sticky post that helps you calculate the cost of taxi to various hotels.

    Taxi is absolutely more expensive. To Caesars you are looking at ~$20 assuming no tunnel. Probably close to $30 with the tunnel.

    Better is up to you. I always take a taxi. The amount of money I save just isn't worth the shuttle to me. For many on this board it is very worthwhile.

    I'm always alone when I arrive so I take a shuttle cause it's only like $7. But if I had arrived with my buddy who usually goes with me I'd definitely take a taxi.

    When I stayed at the MGM Grand one time and the Cosmo another time they were the first stops on the shuttle route so I didn't have to wait for it to make a bunch of stops. When I stayed at the Mirage it was like the third or fourth stop. Not too big of a deal, but definitely something I would have avoided had I been travelling with someone else from the airport to my hotel.

    And I've taken a few of the different shuttle companies. My best experience was with the one that gives you poker chips as your ticket. Can't remember which one that is. A couple of the other shuttle companies were less organized with rude employees.

    I see the shuttle as my first bet

    Can be the 1st stop and out in 15 minutes or the last one in 45 minutes

    We ALWAYS take a taxi....it's just easier. Yes, a little bit more $$, but so worth not having the hassle of the shuttle.

    Some people think that by taking the shuttle, they'll get their first tour of the strip. In actual fact, you'll mostly get a tour of the side streets and backs of the casinos.

    The shuttle's a good deal to get to your hotel from the airport. Even with two people it's usually cheaper than a cab. Going back the other way can be a pain, because you have to make reservations with the shuttle company, who will give you a plus-or-minus 15 minute window for you to wait outside because if you're not there, the shuttle isn't stopping.

    I rarely take a shuttle regardless of the city I'm in. Never in Las Vegas.

    Taxi every time, I would never even think about using a shuttle. The extra cost is well worth it to me.

    Cab (including tip) = $20
    Shuttle = $7

    Cab = 10-15 minutes
    Shuttle = 10-90 minutes

    I'm a gambler. But for $10-15, I wouldn't dream of risking that much of my 'Vegas time'.

    I've never used a Shuttle in Vegas but I think you've answered your own question.
    ........................Shuttle Services take time!...........................
    A Taxi will cost you usually on average say about $20-$25 w/tip.

    Screw the shuttles and taxi's, Limo service is the only way to go....then you don't have to wait in line for the taxi, shuttle. You don't get long hauled and you don't ride around for an hour before you get dropped off by the shuttle.

    I always do taxi...did shuttle once - lucky to stay at Luxor so a first drop off. The taxi like to Harrahs was about $25 so with tip it was cheap dividing even with 2 of us.

    How much is limo service..considering low roller and not comped limo service

    I think you can get sedan service for around $45 and limo service for around $55 from the airport.

    Speaking of Shuttles, I have always used the, mostly Executive. Before you paid for it outside but last time there was the first time since the remodel finish and I didn't see where to pay for the shuttles. Are the inside now just before you go out where the shuttles are parked?
