I used to love Four Queens, still my favorite video poker bar (King's Bar) where most of the bartenders recognize my wife and me. But I no longer stay there due to the Fremont Street noise. It used to be enough to say "south tower facing south" but now you have to be an architectural genius to come up with a quiet room. I think DTG hurts itself by providing ear plugs in the room. The only constant source of noise is Hogs and Heifers, and that's pretty easy to avoid. The walk to Fremont is half the distance of the walk to your room at Flamingo.

Sorry, I took so long just saw your message! California rooms are nice, with a refrigerator. No resort fee. Much smaller pool, fitness room equal or better. Check prices. If money is no object I would stay at the Grand.
