    My Trip Report

my fiancee (just proposed the weekend before) and I flew LAX to LAS on Friday night
    airports were pretty empty
    landed at 9pm
    taxi to Caesars Palace
checked into the Augustus tower, 34th floor, strip view
    [IMG]
nice view of the bellagio fountain

got picked up by my friends and drove over to Palazzo
I got a room for my friends there
    checked them in
slightly embarrassed because I walked into the VIP check-in as usual... only to be told that I am not coded to check-in there for this trip
that's what happens when your host leaves ... and you haven't been gambling as much after getting assigned a new host
    anyway

    we were starving
went to Yardbird to grab a meal at about 1015pm
    [IMG]
    wow
the chicken and waffle is amazing
the fried chicken is one of the best i've ever had
    please go try it

grabbed my $200 freeplay and promptly lost it at the baccarat table
i took out some cash and played roulette and craps
no luck at roulette but ended up making about $1200 at craps thanks to one lady rolling my numbers

my fiancee and i started walking back to Caesars
then i remembered that the CET badge promotion had just started
so i stopped in at Linq and found a buffalo slot machine

    now i NEVER play slots
but decided i'll just run some coins through it for the promotions (hit 25 TC in a day for a badge)
put $100 into the machine.. and was just dwindling down
    not hitting anything
but when I got just below $50, i got some free plays ......... and ended up with my first ever win on a slot machine

i ran it a few more times and then cashed out about $650

i promptly handed $2000 to my fiancee and told her to put it away for me
that way i can't lose it back to the house like i often do

that was the end of fri night
went to bed at about 2am

saturday, i had lunch and dinner plans with local friends
and planned on watching absinthe at night

so we were staying at Caesars and our lunch was at the Four Seasons (Mandalay Bay)
    we walked over to Bellagio
    [IMG]
and then the plan was to take an uber or something to Mandalay Bay
but somehow we ended up just walking
up to NYNY was fine ......... but beyond that was pretty crappy
anyway i'll never do that again

finally made it to Four Seasons
    ate at the Veranda
    pretty good food
but it didn't photograph very well so i deleted it

    took an uber to Palazzo
    played baccarat and blackjack
had a good run and pocketed some more money

    checked out some watches
    [IMG]
my fiancee wants to buy me a watch so i'm considering the new Rolex Datejust 41 among others

went back to Caesars to wash up and change and meet my other friends for dinner at Mesa Grill
    [IMG] [IMG]
    appetizers
    [IMG]
ribeye and lamb chops with sides

    dessert

    Mesa Grill is just FLAVORFUL
not my favorite but enjoyable once in a while

    so our dinner ran long
and i decided we'll just skip absinthe
went on the High Roller instead
    [IMG]
we didn't do the happy hour thing because we were so full from dinner
but i think that's the way to go if you're going to go on the high roller
    our car was pretty boring
but we got a few decent photos

tried playing the buffalo slot machine at a few more casinos ... no more luck
but all this time I was playing with money I had won from my first night so i didn't care

we hopped over to Cosmo to meet with friends who were drinking at Bond
i played a little bit of baccarat and roulette but ended up even
returned to Caesars ... my fiancee went to bed
and that's when the real gambling started

i hit up Cromwell for a while ... played a little too long and gave money back
went back to Palazzo because I had held onto some chips instead of cashing out
ended up playing craps for a couple of hours .............. hit a bunch of repeaters and hard ways to make a good chunk of change
finished off the night/early morning at Caesars high roller room and finally went to bed at 630am

our flight back to LA was at 1045am
it was pretty painful after staying up all night
but leaving vegas with a pocket full of money made it easier to bear the pain

    thank you

    my last trip in March
i was up a decent amount ... and my friend was holding $2500 for me in the safe
got it from him on the morning I was leaving ...... and ended up losing all of it in less than 30 minutes
so this time, i handed it to my fiancee (still getting used to calling her that)
i wasn't going to ask for the money if i ran out of the cash i was holding onto .... but thankfully i didn't even get to that point and just kept adding to the bankroll after each session

Nice report. Congrats on the slot win! I dined at Yard Bird and had the Chicken and Waffles too.
I was not as impressed with it as you seemed to be. Yes, it was good. No doubt. But $36 dollars good?
It seemed very pricey to me. After all, you can only do so much with Chickens and Waffles! But I am glad
I tried it once. Nice place.
