    Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

They gave it a second season and gave it a somewhat non-cliffhanger ending because the show's writers had advanced notice it was going to be cancelled. But network TV, particularly Fox, is where sci-fi goes to die.

I don’t think anyone will remember this show, but it was called Action, and starred Jay Mohr. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen (ok, I maybe exaggerating a little bit), and I don’t think it lasted a full season.

It lasted 6 years. Way too short. Neal and Peter could have had many more heists to crack!

I loved Stumptown. Damn you COVID-19 for shutting down production on season 2, giving ABC time to rethink their schedule and thereby cancelling the show! Cobie deserved better!!

Star Trek: Enterprise with Scott Bakula only ran for about 4 seasons, but that series was dumped way too soon. They could have turned that into another long running Star Trek series, if they gave it a chance.

There have been many shows over the years, but Stumptown and Cobie where hitting their stride and I was looking forward to more.

Pushing Daisies. And as aside, huge pet peeve is when ‘short lived’ is pronounced with a short i instead of a long i. The thing being referred to had a short life, it didn’t live short.

there was a show several years ago starring Timothy Hutton where his kid was kidnapped. We watched a couple of episodes and really liked it, but they pulled the plug early if I remember correctly. I will never be able to come up with the name of the show, though!

It didn't get canceled. Sorkin didn't want to keep doing it.

Also, based on its model of going through real past news events to show an alternate presentation it was always destined for a limited run. Fun while it lasted though.
