so this is how my trip so far has gone:

- comped flights, hotel, limo, and $500 folio credit
- we arrive in Philadelphia airport at 9:30am Thursday from a red eye flight on Wednesday from California. No limo waiting. Call up Harrah's lady says I have no limo for you today. I'm like wtf and she was so rude about it. So I text my host he apologized and said get a town car and we will reemburse you the cost. So I had to call around and thankfully I found someone 2 hrs later. Joe's limos was very nice and helpful and I will recommend them.
- so we get to Harrah's. Check in at the front desk seven star checkin. The lady says you were supposed to check in yesterday. I'm like wtf are you talking about you all setup all this crap and I just flew in 4hrs ago on the flight you all booked. So she leaves the desk literally 4 times for 5-10 mins at a time. I text my host and said I'm about to leave this desk and get a drink for an hr to calm down. Finally get a room.
- so we're walking the casino and the dealers and waitresses are very nice and the gambling is ok. Not up but it's not horrible.
- go to the buffet to eat and the waitress apparently is so Fing lazy that she takes like 3 groups at a time to various tables. Sits us in a disgusting dirty area and had an attitude the whole time. The food was ok but not great. Just a horrible experience tho. For $100 for 2 too. So dumb.
- we then go to bed early cause we want to take a bus to New York in the morning early so we can see New York and the today show in time square.
- get up at 2:30am Friday. Turn on the water. BROWN!!!! Disgusting. Call the front desk. They switch our room. Before we unpack again I check the water. BROWN!!! So now on room number 3 in a different tower thankfully clear water. By this time it's took late for us to make our bus to see the today show so I'm just pissed.

Ok that's enough for now. I'll continue with the rest in alittle while. But so far this place is the most horrible place I've ever visited in my life.

I am so sorry you had such a bad experience. That totally sucks on so many levels. I'd be pissed too. Your host needs to make it up to you by maybe giving you some extra folio credit. Simply reimbursing you for the car cost, given the significant trouble it caused, is not sufficient.

I'm Seven Stars and East Coast based so I'm in AC more often than LV. It's no where near as nice as LV but it has its own charm. I haven't stayed at Harrah's in a long while (I usually stay at Caesars even though most view Harrah's as the better property but I like looking out at the ocean) but it sounds like Murphy's Law kicked in a big way.

In general I find the CET service in AC to be MUCH better than it is in LV because AC is still hurting so much and my host at least very much appreciates my play given that The Borgata is the best hotel in town and with better VP (from what I recall). He knows I could play there instead or in PA or CT though I don't play any other place on the East Coast except AC.

And scrap the buffet. I haven't eaten there in ages as even the Diamond Lounge at Harrah's (the nicest in AC) is a decent mini buffet plus you've got the Seven Stars lounge. I'd use my remaining folio credit for a non-buffet restaurant and/or spa treatments.

I hope the rest of your trip goes much better.

Sorry to hear that you're having a bad time. I went to the 7* event in AC last year now consider myself fortunate that I had none of your problems, other than getting in a day late because of a SWA mechanical issue.

Good luck and better trip.

I'm on the limo to the airport now so thought I'd update alittle more. Stopped off at missing the early morning bus for New York.

- Friday at about 5am after taking showers we got a cab over to ballys which is near the bus station $6 not bad. Played alittle BJ and then walked over to the bus station a block away. Btw ballys layout sucks and their parking lot sucks. It's very difficult to know where your going to end up outside of any of the ballys exits.
- so we get to the bus station njtransit got our tickets for $42 pp rt. The bus left at 8am and we got to New York at 1020. The bus only had one stop on the way and it was clean and maybe 20% full. I was surprised how great the bus ride was so if anyone goes to ac and wants to visit ny I would highly suggest the njtransit bus.
- I won't get into all the New York trip but I will say it was the highlight of the whole trip. We should have spent the whole time there. The people were nice, the Roosevelt hotel that we stayed at for Friday night was great, we saw kinky boots musical which was amazing, and it was just awesome.
- so Saturday night we catch the bus back to AC at 7:45pm and get back around 10:20 again great bus ride. Then we walk over and finding the shuttle area back to Harrah's was a total pain as again their layout sucks as far as easy to understand.
- so we finally do get back to Harrah's and ofcoarse my room key doesn't work. So had to get a new one. Then went to the pizza place that's open and as expected the lady behind the counter gives the worst service. Chit chatting with her homies while taking our order and sarcastically answering any of our questions, like we know a white pizza is just cheese(wtf). We go up and eat and go to bed. Btw food not horrible expect the knots but pizza was alright.
- go to bed and wake up around noon Sunday. Decide to do maybe a spa thing with the folio credit we have. Call up, very nice, and thankfully they do have a 5pm facial for my gf and massage for me. So we book it. Then go gamble.
- after alittle gambling I remember there's a seven star lounge here. So we decide to try that. I will say the food was great. It was busy. Waitress kept forgetting us anytime we ordered we had to remind her like"hey what about that beer I asked for 10 mins ago?" But overall it was great because of the great food.
- so it's getting close to 4:30pm when we're supposed to be at the spa checkin we go up to the room to get our stuff. Sure as hell the room key doesn't work. So go back down and do that crap all over again. Again same rude front desk like it's my fault.
- get to the spa nice checkin. Go our separate way cause it's split men/women. Checkin guy in the men's place to show you around was a total idiot. He ask my name I said wes he then looked down and looked back up and said is that your first or last I said first he then said "WELL WHATS YOUR LAST NAME?" I told him. He looked down then looked back up and said "well are you here for something?" lol I won't go on but you get the point.
-so I get ready go in the coed waiting area with about 4 other ppl chilling and waiting. Lady comes out and says mrs wes. LOL. i say yep. She's like omg I'm so sorry they had you down as a women I said don't you worry about it I would expect NO LESS FROM THIS PLACE just let it be. Massage was amazing. Then afterwards she tells me I can chill out in the hottub sauna etc and if I want room service like drinks to ask the guy in the men's area and he can get it for me. So I meet up with my gf and say hey event tho we can't hottub together let's chill out and I'll get some wine and we can just keep meeting in the coed area. So she agrees. I'm thinking this is my stress free time(just ignore the idiot guy that's in the men's room that's here to help me). So I go up to the guy and just say hey can you order me a bottle of wine and acouple glasses. He says yeah I need the money. I said just charge it to the room he then says no. I said wtf the lady told me you would do this. He says let me check. He calls the front desk gets put on hold and

To be continued in a bit

AC has gone down hill. I used to go all the time when I lived in NYC and then it was better (15 years ago or so). Now the entire northern end of the boardwalk is closed with shuttered casinos. It is sad. I used to enjoy going down for a bit of AC fun. I won't return. I had some similar tales as the one being told here (though not as bad). I agree that if I went back, I would stay at the Borgata. I went for the first time in October of last year and really enjoyed it. I am tired of begging for a limo from the Philly airport to AC -- but one tip, triple check that this is all set for you before you fly into Philadelphia.
