Agree about Shameless. Just saw it yesterday and a bit if a let down. They didn’t really wrap up things. I think they are hoping for spin offs (my guess).

Freaks and Geeks, even though it was only one season had a pretty awesome finale. Daniel has his moment in the sun playing Dungeons and Dragons with the geeks. Nick pretends he's over Lindsay while taking up disco dancing. And Lindsay blows off the academic summit to road trip with Kim and the deadheads. Really bittersweet.

Entourage easily had the worst series finale of any show I formerly loved. Admittedly the entire last two seasons were pretty much dogshit but the last episode took it to another level. Vincent Chase gets engaged to some British woman we met two episodes earlier that has shown zero interest in him. A suddenly pregnant Sloane spends the whole episode telling E to f**k off before showing up at the airport for no reason at the end to welcome him back with open arms. Ari listens to an opera CD and suddenly he quits his job and his wife who has wanted nothing to do with him all season suddenly wants him back. Johnny Drama and Lloyd are given nothing to do and Turtle is a millionaire and thin. Completely sucked in every way.

I think that's why they entirely undid everything from the finale in the first five minutes of the Entourage movie lol

I had forgotten about Futurama! I wouldn't call it great, but it was very sweet and very good. Its also the only show I can think that produced four different episodes they thought would be their last before finally ending the show on their terms

    BANNED!!! :poke:

The Six Feet Under finale is one of my favorites. It perfectly wrapped up the stories of every member of the family and the extended cast of characters. And the ending with everyone's deaths fit in so well with the whole theme of the show.

I have goosebumps just thinking about it. What made you consider it a worst?

As for my worst.. hmm... Lost has to be among the most disappointing. But for me the early cancellation of Soap in 1981 and never finding out how Jessica Tate escaped the firing squad, because you know she did, is still a sore subject for me. :wink2:

I'm still thinking about best, but in addition to Dexter for worst I'm going to add Supernatural. I really liked Prison Break too and I'm not so sure I had warm fuzzies for that ending either.

I don't have it among the worst, but I never quite got the SFU finale myself. I realize I'm in the minority, but I thought the final montage where the characters age towards their death was kind of corny. The Sia song was pretty good though.

Ok, if you count the movie Serenity as the finale of Firefly, then that was the best.

I really loved the end of The White Lotus: Armond is stabbed after taking a dump in Shane's suitcase and Quinn ditches his parents to take off with the Hawaiian rowing team. Great mini-series.

And, I really hated how Las Vegas ended. I would have loved to see a final season to tie up some loose ends, like what happened to Ed.

    lol

I guess I should clarify. The episode by itself was perfectly fine. I think I was just sick of the entire clan by the end. I really enjoyed the early seasons of the show. But as it slogged on, I realized not a single character on the show was likable. Nate is iresposnsible (and dead by that episode). David is weak and pitiful. Ruth is burdensome and maybe remind me too much of some of the flaws I see in my own parents. Claire is whiny and won't share her successes with the people who helped her. Keith and Brenda were both willing to cheat on their significant others at the drop of a hat. I guess I liked the Diazs, but they were secondary characters. By the end, I actually enjoyed the death montage because I was ready for all of them to die

:haha: I can accept that answer. Dan doesn't like to watch things without a likeable character. He's still mad at me for making him watch Goodfellas and Grifters for that specific reason. I like a complex character who is a monster more than a cookie cutter character.

You are definitely not wrong about your assessment about any of those characters. I see a bit of Ruth in my mom. I also see some of all the characters in myself, so maybe I'm just a mess and like to see shows about my fellow messy people. ;)

No likable characters in Goodfellas!!!! Come on. Tommy tried to help teach Spider how to dance .... with his gun. And he really was a funny guy

I think Monk ended well. It tied up all the loose ends. It was great.
