My wife and I are considering moving to Las Vegas. We're both employed and can work from anywhere and have some friends living in Vegas.
One issue tethering us to where we are are my parents. A couple of old folks.
My Dad has terminal cancer, but he's kicking ass right now.
If we make the move I'd like to find a Senior Community for my parents. My Dad would just transfer to a cancer care facility in Las Vegas, they do not need assisted living.

The issue with them is that they are very low rent people.....that sounds terrible. I mean they would need low cost senior living.
    Any suggestions? Recommendations?

Before anyone asks, the reason we'd want them to move to Vegas is that they both love the city. The only thing keeping them here now is that they wouldn't want to move away from family. But if we move there it would be nice for them to find a place in the city that they'd love to spend their remaining years.

Do your health care research very carefully. We moved to Las Vegas and moved back. One of our biggest complaints about living there was lack of adequate health care. We moved back to WI 11 years ago, so maybe things have changed, but not from what I read. Anyway, just investigate thoroughly.

That's very wise. Actually my boss had some issues with the health care in Vegas too.

It all depends on what you would consider low rent. There are plenty of senior communities 55+ where rent is in the 750-850 range. As for you, what would you be looking at?

You mention they really like the city. Does that mean they know the valley and like it or they liked taking vacations there. These are two different animals. I have numerous friends over the years that moved there. Some stayed and some didn't. The ones that stayed either knew or learned quickly to regulate casino visits. They also looked at the city as a hole and not the funof the strip or DT. If their finances are tight, it may not be a good fit.

If he is terminal why uproot him and the family at this time? And consider what Joe and Ric said about healthcare in Vegas, and Vegas as vacation vs. Vegas as living. However it goes down, good luck to you and your family.
