So, some of you are already aware. This is more of an FYI than anything else.

My husband and I are in a trial separation. House is sold. We're each in apartments. His is tiny, mine is big. The 2 male cats are with me. The female cat is with him. It could go either way at this point. I am hoping for reconciliation.

So, I'll be making jokes about my situation and you will know why.

Hey. You put it on the board and state you hope for reconciliation. Good for you.
You can always be divorced. But if you know you made the most of it and gave your all then that’s different. Salvage what you can or let it go. (not knowing obviously the details and not seeking details) But I feel for you.

I'm sorry to hear he's punishing you by making you keep the cats.

It’s a wonder there aren’t more of these posts as we isolate with our spouses going into month 7 (j/k, sorta lol). If there something in the vows that said 24/7, 7 days a week, I don’t remember it lol

Divorces are up and babies are up(later). Too much together time isn't a good thing for many.

I agree. I love my wife, but I think I might not tell her when I retire.

So sad. I think I was my wife's plan B as well. Always a bridesmaid...

OK, as a happily divorced male, let me say . . . . you were together for a reason. You are now apart for a reason. People who are not happy with each other should not stay together or "fight" to make it work.

Sounds crass, but in my case, it was a blessing . . . .

I take no issue at all with you cracking all of the jokes you need to crack on the subject, and I appreciate your putting it out there like this.

Certainly haven't been there myself, but I come from a family full of divorces... so I'm all too familiar with the dynamics of it.

I'm glad you two were able to do what you had to do on an amicable basis with the possibility of reconciliation. Fingers crossed that it will work out in the best possible way for both of you.

My ex and I get along a lot better since we separated. We're still best friends.

Thank you. I don't think I'll be venting much. But, I figured being up front about it is the better way to go.

We just made it to our 20th anniversary at the beginning of the month and plan was to celebrate in Vegas since we couldn’t do Hawaii but long story short we have since separated, anything that could go wrong went wrong! So instead of swimming in the pool of sad I decided to come alone and try to enjoy Vegas without him. Not sure if it was a good idea but I need to time for myself. We come to Vegas often and this is my first time solo! Wish me luck!
I thought posting something similar but I’m glad you beat me to it! Good luck!!
