    My Trip Report

Ah Geeze, here we go again. This was supposed to be my annual guys trip for the SEMA convention, but SEMA was cancelled. My buddy also cancelled on me so that makes this a solo trip and I'm perfectly ok with that. For about two seconds I thought about possibly cancelling the trip, but I've got a ton of vacation days to use by the end of the year. Work is not allowing me to fly without a 14 day quarantine, so I'm forced to endure the excruciating 5 hour drive instead of enjoying the quick 45 minute flight. Oy vey, woe is me....I'm kidding obviously.

This is going to be kind of a long trip for me. I'm usually a quick weekender 2-3 night tripper, while this is going to be 5 nighter. The first night will be at The D to check out the Circa, the rest of the nights will be at the Cromwell. I'll be honest will you all, this might be my best trip for comps so far and I think I'm probably a bit over-comped. Oh well, we'll see how bad the comps are for the next trip. For this trip, I have:

    The D:
Suite with $500 in FP and and unknown food amount.

    Cromwell:
Parlour Suite with $600 in FP and the possibility of playing up to $1200. I've also got my $600 Diamond Elite credit and $200 in RC.

I'm sure I'll be roaming around the strip and will probably spend some time over at Cosmo as I have some FP/RC that can be spent and I'm only 500 TC away from maintaining Gold for another year. I'll also probably swing by one of the Mlife properties to do a tier match up to Platinum and spend some of the RC credits I've got. I've decided that I'm going to try to spend all of my rewards instead of saving them all up, only to have them expire or go unused if I don't make it back in time.

    HERE IS THE DISCLAIMER:

I will do my best to keep this as live as possible, but can't guarantee anything. This will probably be slot and maybe VP heavy, however food pron is not my thing. This may be boring for some, but no hard feelings if my trip is not for you, lol. I will be drinking and there will most definitely be some drunk posting and probably some NSFW verbiage. I may even get into another fight with an ATM, I guess we'll see where the trip takes me.

    that's what I'm looking for.
Nice weekend dodge, go git 'em!:beer:

Very interested in Cromwell report, other than Paris, seemed like it was only other CET spot we'd like to stay or play at.

Also into the blowing out the points plan, because who knows?

Stake up on the FP+ point play, then stick and move, float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
Solo means you do what you want!

I love how differently people do Vegas. You are starting a "kind of ling" 5 day trip and I woke up sad that I only have 6 days left of my trip.

I hope you have a great trip!

Mainly slots with a little VP sprinkled in. I doubt that I'll do any tables as I usually only do that with friends. Maybe some Pai Gow, but that's a doubtful maybe.

Vegas is close to me, maybe a little too close. I probably go a little more than I should, lol.

Well folks, it's time to pack up the car and GTFO!

Have a safe trip. This sounds like my kind of trip report - gambling and drinking. Unfortunately I just had to cancel my December trip so I am living vicariously with everyone's trip reports.

Will be following along. Have fun and win lots

@subafrk good luck! I just got back and hit a 1k 4 aces w/ kicker and 50cent royal at the Linq. If you wanna play some good video poker there I suggest trying it out now that the 99% vp at Cromwell is gone.

Alright kiddos, just got checked into The D. The drive was pretty uneventful, just a few dumb asses not using cruise control so a bit of back and forth passing. They also seemed to be the ones hanging out in the semis blind spots. Let’s all try to remember to keep right except to pass. If you’re going to pass, use the gas!

I did some quick recon of the parking garage when I pulled up. Didn’t look like my car was going to make it, so I had to valet it. They have some flat parking across from the pool. I can actually see my car from the room, so that’s kind of nice.

I remember you mentioning your car was too low. My partners prius almost scrapes let alone a honda 2000 Or is that a mazda convertable? Your car reminds me of this scene on FF. [IMG] Makes me miss my nissan z lol

Love the suite. If you hangout at Circa remember to share :D:beer:

Wow, nice suite. Thanks for the TR! Following!

    And most importantly, good luck.

Although in Hollywood and Broadway and theater in general, "good luck" is super bad luck, so they say "break a leg" instead.

Does Vegas have a similar non-jinx saying?

    "Break a scooter!"

    "Spill a Margarita!"

Too Soon Jr! I can quote FF all day, lol. The original few are a guilty immature pleasure of mine. You are correct, it is a Honda S2000. I bought it new back in 2001 and it currently has 350k+ miles on it. It's been a great car.

I lol'd at your comment. I'm going to go with "break a f'ing scooter!"

For sure. I'll probably hit them up tomorrow. With the election tonight, I'm not sure that I'm going to venture much out of my little Cromwell safe zone.

Just a quick update as I just checked into the Cromwell. I'll probably do a photo dump shortly. I met up with some local friends as they also wanted to check out Circa. We went to Pizza Rock to use some of the food comps I had from The D. Pizza was good, one friend is vegan and they had a few options for her.

Circa sure is cool. It's neat to walk into a brand new casino that still smells like a new building. Machines were TIGHT, but that is subjective. One pretty big complaint from me is the comp liquor options on the floor. Only well drinks were available. I asked to see what kind of Scotch they had, and she responded with an "I don't know what it is, it's well." I've been around long enough to know what happens when I drink poor quality liquor, lol. It tasted like it might have been Johnnie Red aka...turpentine. It was rough but I drank it anyways and tipped well, it's not her fault. They need to step up their comp liquor game there. I can get Johnnie Black over at The D and The Glenlivet or The Macallan on the strip.

The budget took a huge hit over at Circa. So much so that I ended up dipping into today's budget. Luckily, The D came through for me in a huge way and I made most of it back. I got back up to 90% of my original budget, so I came out 10% down which I pretty much call a win in gambling, lol.
