Well today was definitely better than yesterday. I started the day with breakfast at Buca de Beppo here at Bally's. Then went back to the room to get ready for the day with a shower and a few cocktails. Played a little bit here at Ballys with nothing really to show for it. Tried my luck at Paris and nothing there either. I made a reservation for dinner at China Poblano so I decided to head over to Cosmo to play until it was time for dinner.

I grabbed a seat at the Chandelier Bar and a raspberry lemon drop martini to play some VP. Started with single line and wasn't doing well. Switched it up to triple line BP dimes. I finally found some Aces! Of course it was BP and not DDB.

After that the 4OAKs kept coming.

After that I decided it was time to switch to quarters. And I'm so glad i did!

FIRST ROYAL!!! Definitely made my trip! Ended up cashing out with $1100 bringing me ahead about $400 for the trip.

It was now time for dinner at China Poblano. I decided on the Tasting Menu mainly because of value and it was different than when I was there in Sept. Delicious as always!

After dinner I decided to make my way DT to see the craziness. It was definitely crazy busy! They were enforcing the 21+ restrictions tonight and was a line to get into Freemont Street Experience. I dodged the line by ducking into Circa. The casino was really nice. Music was loud. They had the dancers in the pits. Most mins at table games were $15 and up. Lots of slots on both levels and some table games on the 2nd floor as well. The sports book was HUGE! One thing I did notice was the only place to find VP was at the bar tops or at the back of the sports bar. They didn't have any other banks of VP. Not sure if i like that or not. Here are a few pics I snapped of Circa.

I grabbed a players card for Circa and decided to put some play in and see what happened. I sat down at a Shark Week slot. Love this game! Love the sharks and any win sounds huge with the music they use, lol. Was able to turn $20 into $70 and walked with that.

Now it was time to venture into the crowds. Crowds were huge, elbow to elbow in most places. I'd say about 60% were wearing masks properly and about 75% at least had them "on". There weren't the normal performing crazies tonight. Just all the "normals" in costumes. There was less showing skin than I expected, lol. Overall I did one lap and then left.

I made my way back Bally's and made a quick short walk of the strip. Nothing really too much to note that I saw. So I decided to call it a night with a good win for the day! We will see what tomorrow brings. Now to relax, watch some Rocky Horror Picture Show and have a cocktail.

Great TR and congrats on the Royal! I'll be at Bally's in 3 weeks and was wondering if you happened to notice if BLT Steak was open for dine-in yet?

I watched a live stream of downtown last night and it looked crazy busy....like back to pre-Covid levels!

How did Buca di Beppo work for breakfast? They usually have a buffet, but I assume that's not running? Is it just ordering off the menu? I forgot they had one because everyone gets the buffet, but just remembered they did have a regular menu too last year when I went at Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the Circa pics! I am surprised they don't have a regular VP section, that's kind of a bummer. And Fremont sure looked crowded, even for non pandemic times.

And you were sooooo close to another Royal with that SF! I really feel a second one for you this trip!
    Good luck today!!

You order the "buffet" but they just bring you an initial plate with everything and you can ask for more as much as you want. I usually don't make it past one plate since I add pancakes too but it's still the cheapest option for dining there.

All of us really enjoyed the buffet at Buca in August....much better than expected & our waitress was a hoot & fun to talk to. Just showing kindness & personality she was rewarded with a Very big tip....there were 4 of us & each gave her $10....quite a lot for her.....but we actually had a good time because of her & knew with the restrictions in place...she was probably not making her normal salary...

Congrats on your royal, may there be many more. How does housekeeping work during covid? Do they bring you fresh towels or do you have to call for anything you need?

They asked me if I wanted housekeeping. So I could have chosen to have it or not. Or even just once during stay if i wanted.
