Hmm. I'm surprised by that. Yesterday they were letting vendors into the location to pick up the gear they had to leave there, so I assumed LMVPD had released the site. Maybe they are going to be there until all the vendor equipment has been picked up. Thanks for sharing that.

And look at you with all the photos with people!! It gets easier after your first one. Soon you'll be randomly photo bombing stranger's photos like I do. :wink2:

This tournament was much better to me. We started with three tables, and I busted out at 5-ish players remaining on the second last table. For about 10 hands I was down to my last 100 or 200, with 50/100 blinds. I'd have lost a lot sooner if I didn't catch a flush on the river on a hand where I was all in.

The hand that I busted out on, I had a pair of aces on the flop, which was ATK. Again with my last 200, I go all in. Another K comes out, so I'm thinking I've got a two pair. The river was a T. I had a decent two pair of A/Ks... but one T or K from an opponent would be the end.

Sure enough, fella to my right had K5. So that was it.

I've got one more shot, on the 1:00 tourney. On the break I'll be writing up some postcards. My university roommates and I all exchanged addresses, so I'll be sending postcards to them.

Cool fact: Of these eight postcards, they'll be going to seven different countries (England, France, Germany, Finland, Spain, Netherlands, and Canada).

After that, I gotta find some coffee. Today's only getting started!

I get it but just was trying to figure out why you called his raise with K5 off suit pre flop

Queen high flush, with a flush across the board.

I was scared to death someone had the ace.

Just on final break now. I'm down to 19000, after losing just under 10000 on two hands where I got beat on the final two cards.

At the final two tables. My crosshairs are on eliminating one hotshot, whose tell I'm sure I've identified. Once he's out, I am confident I will cash.

Success! With three guys left within 30-ish percent in chip count of each other, we agreed to a three-way chop on a $1,075 pot.

Leader got $380, next guy got $348, and I got $347. Worked out to be a good deal for everyone, comparing the structured payouts to one another.

Between Zeffirino and the strip club tonight, I've got the money I originally budgeted, plus all this extra money I didn't expect to have. Stay tuned for a real good time!

Well done. That's gotta be a good feeling.:clap::clap:

Just curious, what was the guy's tell and did he get eliminated?

The tell was a subtle jaw movement. It seemed to be a reliable tell based on everything I saw.

He was the chip leader and the one who got $380. I almost taunted him into going all-in when I had an A6 full house. That's the closest I got to eliminating him.

My hat goes off to him. Very skilled player, held it together very well... and hey, he was the chip leader. So I think that says it all.

Okay, we've got an epic turn of events here.

Eating dinner at Zeffirino now. Getting picked up for a helicopter tour of the strip in an hour. Taking the tour. Having a cocktail at the Bellagio. THEN off to the strip club.

    Prepare for dazzling updates!

Okay, so, quick (and apologetically, rushed) food update. Dinner at Zeffirino was of its usual knock-your-socks-off quality. Had my usual paffutelli pasta, followed by sea bass with a half lobster topped with brandy cream sauce. Finished off with an espresso and tiramisu (sadly, they didn't have Amaro Montenegro... my favourite).

I never said I was a cheap date!

Hustled down to the valet area to catch my limo to the heliport. Will be in the air in about 45 minutes!
