Wow, it's still not around? When I went to the gaming expo in 2016 they were showing it, and the Soup Nazi actor made an appearance as part of the promotion. They set the machine on demo mode, and let us play it for about 5 minutes.

I have 3 pics of it in my Sept 2016 trip report. Scroll 1/2 the way down or search for "Expo"

Did a search and all posts were from late 2016 with a mid 2017 release. Maybe delayed a bit?

Pretty sure its ready to go. But it is a platform game in their newer Gamescape cabinet. They had Wonka in those cabinets first, many casinos had their Wonkas converted to Simpsons not long ago. And once Simpsons loses steam you should start to see these, if they are next in line.

That is the problem with today's modern cabinets. Casinos usually dont get new games, they get new software and some facades to switch themes. My locals has the same pair of cabinets sitting on the floor for 5 years it seems. They were once a Monopoly, then Beetlejuice, then a Wonka, and now WOZ.

As for Seinfeld being on the floor at G2E 2016, Simpsons was on the floor at G2E 2015 and that just started rolling out recently.

Great info. I didn't realize they just changed out the software and reused cabinets in many cases. I wish Seinfeld would be there for my trip in a couple weeks, but oh well.

Yup, the days of lugging in brand new machines over and over again are pretty much gone. But I'm sure everyone has walked the casino floor and seen a bank of machines displaying a blue blank screen. Those are the ones being modded into new versions. That is why most machines are just generic boxes now with digital play fields and digital top boxes.
