    My Trip Report

Woo-hoo! I just can't stay away. This will be my third trip this year. But hey, I didn't join LVA until after trip #2, so I've gotta put the POV to use! ;)

Airfare on America West is very good right now ($198), and they offer nonstop flights from Boston to Vegas. After the last trip I've received some good offers by mail that I wanted to take advantage of. Also, my cashback & points from Caesars Ent. Group are expiring this summer, so I didn't want that to go to waste!

My husband is too busy with work to take a vacation this summer, so I figured I'd recruit the girls from the January trip. Only a little arm twisting was required....three of us this time- the most difficult member of the crew from January is not coming, and we are all pleased about that!

We're doing a Friday to Tuesday night trip (6/11-6/15), However, for the same money, I can fly out on Thursday instead...so the gears start moving and I'm thinking of one whole day in Vegas by myself...and I'm thinking how much I hate to arrive at McCarran on a Friday night...so what the hell, I booked it! [IMG] I think I'll hit a cheap spot like the LV Club Thursday night as we're not staying downtown this trip. :(

I booked the LV Hilton for Friday and Saturday on a promo package for $106.82 total, then the Flamingo Sunday and Monday on another promo for $119.90 total. Not only is this the best price combo of all the deals I got, but I can also use my players card earnings at these properties. This will be the first time I've been able to take advantage of a mailer, and the first time I've earned some comps that will actually be used. No way for hubby to argue with that! :D

Sounds like the experience is paying off. Planning makes a big difference in how much and what you get to see! The coupons books sure make your budget go farther too! Enjoy planning your trip....it helps pass the time. I'm already starting to think about February 2005!

Thanks Jimbo- I think the coupons helped the cause of getting them on board- I told them I have so many 2-for-1 coupons that unless it's the steak special at Ellis Island, we're not paying full price for any meals!

I've been enjoying your trip reports by the way...thanks for posting them! [IMG]
