Without any details. (just some assumptions or guesses), not sure how anyone can comment.

Looks like they are charging to watch football, even general admission tickets, starting in September. Each ticket includes a 2 drink tickets and a seat. The only thing I can think is that they are trying to push people toward making bets through the William Hill / Caesars Sports app.

If they actually enforce what that sign says, its really stupid. During big sports days, guests are always congregating around and in the books. Its a good way to keep them in your property. Makes me wonder if its a Harrahs plan or a WH policy

I miss the days when their sports book was a small restaurant. The good old days of the early 2000s.

I first thought OP meant changes not charges, but I got the title after looking at the pics. LOL.

My recollection is that this is not new, most of the sportsbooks on the strip (rather CET, Mirage, Cosmo) have reserved seating on football weekends and unless you're a big better they charge for the seating.

I hope they fill the seats. Sure not gonna be with my a$$.

But, then again, Vegas is a football town now and will be drawing Raider fans in droves from California. The smart bean counters strike again.

Yeah its not so much the charge for seating that bothers me. You're right, that's nothing new. But if they stop people from standing or congregating, that just seems stupid to me

I feel like they've been charging for seats/tables the past couple years. Always seemed like a decent deal for a table for 4 and a bucket of beer (cant remember prices, but maybe $100-$200? during college Saturday's).

I feel responsible for this because I have a room booked there labor day weekend, and for the first time ever, there is a game I want to see while I'll be there, if I go. For what it's worth, I have front row tickets to said game (Notre Dame at FSU), and they were somewhere in the neighborhood of the same price harrahs wants for a seat to watch on TV ... seems like a great deal! (And yah I agree on the charging for reserved seating being nothing new, but the no watching unless you paid?!?! C'monnnnnn) send me straight to a non CZR property to watch the game I reckon.

I agree this is prob William Hill more than Casears/Harrah's. When I was at Paris last fall, there were a decent amount of WH employee's walking around the sportsbook making sure people weren't standing around and blocking areas (I had a table with unlimited drinks, so it was nice to have someone enforcing people standing right behind us along the wall).

ElDorado bought William Hill. There is functionally no difference now, unless I am misunderstanding that ownership deal.

My understanding is that you are correct, and they're spending gobs of money to rebrand WH as Caesars something rather...

They'll also have the game on all the TVs in the pits

Mirage has open seating across the street. if you want a reserved spot, they can run about $125-$150, but all beer is included (Bud Light, Coors Light, type, which works for me!). And that is a real sports book, not that dinky thing Harrah's has.

Is that the "owners box" they are talking about? https://mirage.mgmresorts.com/en/casino/betmgm-sportsbook.html I wish it was something you could book/view online like CP's map.

I thought it was the opposite, and they would keep operating as WH, and not really tied to ElDorado/Caesars since they have so many book locations in tons of other hotels. Also the Caesars sports book app is no longer setting up new users, and you have to us WH, and can use it at caesars properties, but also Venetian, Cosmo, etc.
